CHAPTER 12

(Jackie's POV)

I was so excited! I mean can you blame me? I was going to the park with the most popular guy in school! So what it was for a school assignment!

Okay. Okay. Calm down. I checked my phone. 4:07. Shit.

I quickly smoothed out my shirt, then sped walked towards the door. I passed Alex's house. I hesitated, I missed him, but I wasn't ready to apologize yet.

The park soon came into view. I had to stop myself from running towards it.

I looked around for Andrew. He was waiting over by the basketball court, when he saw me, he ran over.

Smile! I commanded myself. Drew smiled back; and then the déjà vu moment hit.

Wow, this actually happened. I wasn't totally surprised, I had been getting those future dream moments much more often, but this was Andrew we were talking about.

I am so obsessed. Wait did he just say something? "What was that?" I asked my voice fairly shaky.

"I said, we could sit on the bench and work there." Drew ran his fingers through his blonde hair.

We walked over to the lonely bench. Andrew matched his pace to mine, which must have been hard considering I walk super fast.

I sat down first, not wanting to make it awkward. He sat next to me, much closer than I thought he would. Drew pulled out some paper and pencils from his book bag.

"So what style are you going to do?" Andrew asked.

"I can paint. If that's okay?" I asked. Painting was my passion.

"No problem, as long as these paints will work for you." he took out a set of paints.

"Those look pretty expensive. Are you sure you want me to use them?"

"Jackie, you a great artist. You need great paints!" Andrew smiled as he handed me a paint brush.

I started painting. The paper was soon filled with vibrant colors. I was almost done, when Andrew wrapped his hand around mine. I was so startled that I almost dropped the paint brush.

"That's beautiful." Andrew said.

My checks turned pink. I looked over at his sketch. It was amazing! The shading and detail were magnificent. "Yours is..... wow." I said not sure how to word it.

"Yeah, I know. I will never be as good as you."

"No! I mean no, yours is so beautiful!"

Drew smiled and ran his fingers through his blonde hair. " It's no where near as beautiful as you."

I smiled and looked down. Andrew leaned in, and so did I. Our lips met. And just for a second I felt fireworks shoot through me. It was my first kiss. And it ended all too soon. He looked at me for a second before grabbing his things and standing up.

He took my phone from the bench. "This is my number. Text me so we can meet again like this?"

I nodded quickly and resisted bitting my bottom lip.

Andrew handed me my cell. Then half smiled and jogged away.

I just stood there like a creeper. Something was defiantly wrong. As much as I hate to say it, guys like that don't fall in love with girls like me. It just doesn't happen.
