Chapter 12: A Happy Reunion

The Incredibles, Amoux, Aurora and Rose were at the NSA, where Rose explained everything "That's what happened, Mr. Dicker. Violet didn't know what went through all this time when we hung out. I was the one responsible for all of it." said Rose. After hearing the whole thing, Bob thinks her helping in the battle should count for something. "Well Rose, I want you to know that I've already spoken to the authorities and they won't be pressing charges against you." said Dicker as Rose was surprised. "Really? That's great..but my dad will still go to prison..and I'll be alone." said Rose silently. "Actually Rose, someone special wants to see you." said Dicker as he opened the door. A woman walked in. It was Rose's mother. "Rose?" she said. "Mom? Mom!" said Rose as she hugged her happily as everyone smiled. "Oh my sweet little Rose. Thank goodness you're alright." said Rose's mother. "I thought you said you weren't coming back after the argument you and dad had." said Rose. "Oh, Rose, that's not true. When your father took you away, I tried to find you but he changed your last names. So I moved in with my sister and continued searching." said Rose's mother. Rose wonders why her father lied to her. Bulbox comes in to explain that. He wasn't able to get a good job, and he wanted to give Rose more then he could. With his super strength, stealing was easy. He intended on doing one time, but he did it again and again. Soon, Rose's mother found out and the police were getting close. He didn't want them to take him away from Rose, so he tried to start over but failed repeatedly. "I'm sorry for all this, especially dragging you into robbing the school. I promise when I get out, I'll be a changed man." said Bulbox as Rose sheds happy tears and hugs him. "I love you, Daddy." said Rose. "Bulbox has agreed to do a memory wipe. We can do one for Rose as well." said Dicker. "I guess that's fair." said Rose. "Wait! I trust her with my life if you guys do." said Violet. "Well it's a risk." said Bob. "But it's also a chance." said Helen as everyone nodded. "Really? Wow, thank you! Especially you Violet. I never really thought I had a best friend. But I do now." said Rose as the two hugged. She then approaches Amoux. "Hey, so...Aurora mentioned something about us. Do I know you?" asked Rose. Amoux sighed deeply as he takes off his mask, revealing his identity. "Yeah Rose. You do." said Chris as Rose gasped. "Chris? Is that you?" asked Rose as he nodded. She then gives him a hug and the two seperate. "It's been a while since I last saw you. You changed." said Rose. "Yeah. Same with you. You were a shy person until I met you." said Chris as Rose smiled. She then faces Aurora, who then takes her mask off and with a nervous look on her face. "Hey, uh, sorry about what I said earlier. I was...a little jealous after Chris told me you knew him and that you guys spent some time together when he moved. It kind of ticked me off just a teeny bit. Honestly, I was afraid that you would try to take him from me...that I would be alone." said Carla as she slightly blushed. "Well, it's fine. Chris's a really nice and sweet guy when we first met. But I'll be honest...I did have feelings for him back then. He helped me with a lot in my life and I've learned so much from him. I thought we would have a chance to be in a relationship...but ever since his dad died, he was under a lot of emotions, so instead I would try to be supportive as I can. Now I can see that he's happy with you and that's what I want for him because he's my friend." said Rose as the couple smiled. Carla then gives her a hug. "Were cool, Rose." said Carla as she smiled. "It's really great to see you again, Rose. Your a good friend and a good person. I really missed you." said Chris as the two shed tears. "I missed you too. Keep in touch, okay?" said Rose as Chris smiled. "Sure will." he replied. Then Rose and her mother left to head home, promising to see them soon. "I'm sure we'll see Rose again once she's settled in with her mom. Maybe one day she'll be able to train and become a super like us." said Bob as everyone smiled. "I still feel bad for not telling you this before. Sorry you guys." said Violet. "It's okay, Violet. You tried your best to support Rose because you were only looking out for her. That's what friends do and that's what family does." said Helen as they all hugged.
