Chapter 13: Chris and Michael

Months later, following the events of Bulbox, Chris helped Michael with the rest of his school supplies and eventually he got his schedule. "There ya go, bud. You got your schedule and your supplies. You're all set for school." said Chris as Michael smiles. "Thanks, man. I really appreciate it." said Michael as he fists bumps him. Since that day, Chris and Michael have become best friends because of how much they have in common. The next week of school, Chris, Carla, Violet and Michael met up in the front of the school. They all went inside and headed for the homeroom. Soon, they met for lunch. "So, Michael? How are things going for you so far?" asked Chris. "Pretty well. I really have fitted in with the family and they all seem to take a liking to me. Especially Violet." said Michael as they all smiled. Ever since Michael had been adopted by the family he and Violet were good friends and good siblings. Meanwhile, Bob and Helen were at home cleaning the house. "So nice for Michael to be a part of this family." said Helen "And it's nice to have another son." said Bob. Suddenly, there was a call. "Hello?" said Bob. "Bob, it's Dicker. I need you and Helen to come over to the NSA quickly. Make sure Amoux isn't with you." said Dicker. "He's not here. What's going on here, Rick?" asked Bob in suspicion. "I'll explain to you when you get here." said Dicker as he hung up. "We need to go to the NSA. He said to make sure Amoux doesn't come with." said Bob. "Why?" asked Helen. "I don't know. Let's go find out." said Bob as they entered the car heading to the NSA. "Rick." said Bob. "Bob." said Dicker as they shook hands. "So Rick, what's going on?" asked Bob. "We made a recent discovery of Amoux's father's death and...there's something that he can never know." said Dicker as Bob and Helen gasped. "Rick...that's a bad idea, especially hiding this from him." said Bob. "Who is the killer?" asked Helen. "*Sigh* Your adopted son...Michael." said Dicker as Bob and Helen were left speechless. "That's...not possible." said Helen. "I'm afraid it's true. We picked up security footage from the event." said Dicker as they showed him the footage. It shows Malcolm fighting a villain. He was almost wounded as it showed Soulblade dive in and suddenly slashed both Malcolm and the villain. Leaving them both severely wounded. Soul killed the villain and he was going to kill Malcolm but the cops arrive and leave. Then, the footage ends. Bob and Helen were in dead silence. "So now you know the truth. Soulblade was the one who killed Amoux's father. Promise you won't tell Chris about this." said Dicker. Bob and Helen were still silent but eventually agreed and kept their word for Rick. When they arrived, they were in the living room. "I can't believe this. Michael was the one who killed his father. How will we explain this to Chris if he finds out? Not to mention that he and Michael have been good friends ever since we adopted him." asked Helen in worry. Bob sighed. "I don't know. But one thing for sure...he won't like it and he'll be very upset if he knows this." said Bob. Then Violet, Michael and Dash came in. "Hey Mom, hey Dad." said Dash as they all saw their parents in a speechless mood. "Mom, Dad? What's wrong? You guys seem silent." said Violet. "Kids...we need to talk. After you hear this...you CANNOT tell Chris or Carla about this. Do you understand?" said Helen as they nodded. They both took a deep breath and told them everything and showed them the footage of the murder of Malcolm.
