Chapter 14

Umiyak nang umiyak si Maisei ng nagpapaalam na ako. Yakap-yakap niya ako habang inaalo ko siya maging ni Kipper. Hindi rin naman kasi ako pwede pa magtagal dahil may nga trabaho pa ako. I need to work for us.

"Baby, stop crying na. Malulungkot si Daddy sige ka."

"I will miss you," she said while still sobbing. "I'll miss Tito Kipper too."

"I'll miss you too hmm…" Mahirap iwan ang taong mahal mo pero kailangan. "I'll visit naman if walang work si Daddy. Mahal na mahal kaya kita. Daddy is working for you so my baby ko choose whatever she want in the future."

"Don't worry, baby Mai. I'll watch Daddy for you. You knowI promised that I'll protect you and Daddy right?" sabat ni Kipper.

"Pasalubong again, Daddy." I chuckled. "Tito, promise you'll protect my Daddy ah?" tanong niya kay Kipper habang nagpupunas na ng luha na kaagad naman siyang tinulungan ni Kipper using his hands.

"Yes, baby. I promise po."

Inihatid kami ni Daddy sa isang private property ng family nila dahil doon naghihintay ang helicopter nina Kipper. I decided to head directly to my condo. Kipper didn't say a thing but he messaged me to take care.

I prioritise my modelling career again. Hindi kami nagkikita ni Kipper but he's always checking me. Nabalitaan ko rin kay Mommy na nakakausap na niya si Kipper because Maisei wanted to talk to him. 

Wala namang problema iyon sa akin. Okay naman ako basta okay ang baby ko.

After a week Kipper said he'll work with Andy. They have a movie and they are the leading cast. Pareho kaming nasa industrya kaya alam ko at naiintindihan ko ang side niya.

"I have work now, Kipp. I need to go," I said over the phone.

[Take care, Ga. Gonna update you na lang.]

"No need, it's fine." 

Okay lang naman sa akin dahil alam ko na  busy din siya.

[I'll update you. I wanted to do it because I wanted to and you deserve it. Take care. Gusto kita makita kapag hindi ka na busy. You owe me a favour ah. Cook for me.]

"Ingat ka rin. Bye."

Dumiretso ako sa firm dahil kakausapin ako ni Tita. Hindi rin naman iyon nagtagal dahil pinakilala niya ako sa board members with my works. Dumiretso ako sa meeting place namin nina Jaden at Xian to meet a Filipino brand clothing. 

Pagkarating ko sa place ay hindi naman masyadong maraming customer. Naupo kaagad ako and I also introduced myself. Xian already ordered iced coffee for me so we decided to tackle about me being the face of her design.

"Thank you so much, Gav. I really want you to be the face of this design of mine."

"Ow thank you. It's actually an honour to be the face or your designs. I like it."

Actually when I see it is good and unique it's either it is famous or not I accept the offer. It's also my way to support our locals too. They are talented and they deserve it too. Xian and Jaden are also helping me to pick some designers like this too. I'm also into local fashion when I am buying. Yes I am an international model but I didn't forget to raise up what our country has.

A week has passed and the news has already come out. My friend Andy will be pairing up with Kipper in a movie. Andy didn't say a thing and she also landed now in the Philippines. I am the one who fetches her in the car. 

"Gavin-babe, gosh I miss you!"

I kissed her cheek as beso and she also did the same. Ang high maintenance naming friend.
