Love or Revenge ✅

Chapter 2

As soon as Win finished taking his shower, he put on the rob and sat in front of his dressing table staring at his  reflection in the mirror for a minute. He used to be so confident because everyone said that he's beautiful however now when he look at his face, he can't seems to appreciate his own beauty for some reason.  He gets up and walk towards the balcony, the scenic view was breathtaking but his mind was elsewhere, he doesn't realize how much time passed but when he glance at the wall clock it was 5:30 PM.

Win change his clothes in to comfy one and excitedly walks downstairs, heading straight towards the kitchen. Win look around and first opened the fridge only to find that it was filled with everything. Win take out the shrimp and decided to cook dinner for his new husband. Win also pulled out all the ingredients he will be needed as he started washing and peeling off the shrimps skin, when the maid Martha entered in the kitchen. She ask Win "What are you doing dear? You shouldn't be cooking here. It's your first day in the house after marriage", she tried to shoo Win away from the kitchen causing Win to smile at the lady.

Win didn't budge though as he excitedly explain "It's alright Aunty, I really want to cook something for Bright. I want to surprise him".  Martha smile hearing Win and sigh out "Bright is very lucky to have You as his wife. You're truly kind and lovely person Win". Win gave his weak smile in response if only Martha knew how much Bright hates him. Win muttered under his breath "hope he feels the same", Martha decided  to leave the kitchen to Win after saying "If you need my help please don't hesitate to call me dear". Win nods his head and Martha left Win alone in the kitchen to do the cooking for his husband.

Win was feeling excited and nervous both at the same time as he knew Bright loves shrimp, and he knows how to cook but he doesn't know if his husband will like his cook shrimp, he's even afraid to anticipate Bright's reaction on his cooking. Until Win finished preparing all the dinner, he decided to set up their dinner table and when he was done, Win was sweating bucket so he decided to go and get fresh quickly as it's going to be their first dinner together as a husband and wife and it should be memorable to both. Win immediately ran upstairs into his bedroom and quickly showered then change his clothes into proper one. Once he was satisfied with his look, he came back downstairs to wait for his husband arrival.

For several minutes Win felt anxious as he kept glancing at the door for his husband arrival from the dinning area but  Bright was no where, it was already 7:45 and Bright wasn't at home for dinner. Win called Martha and ask "Aunty what time does Bright usually comes back home", Martha answered "about 7 or so. I wonder what taking him so long. He should be home by now". There was a worried look on Martha face and Win realize it was the first time Bright is late for dinner. Win covered the food and decide to wait in the living room for his husband while watching TV.  it was 9:30 PM and Win was so hungry and tired with all the wedding commotion throughout the day  but he still doesn't wanted to eat alone without his husband. He shuffle the channels as unknowingly his tears started to fall down. Win ask himself 'Does his husband hate him that much?'.

Later  after 10 PM Martha approach Win, when she saw the boy in tears. As soon as Win saw her walking towards him, Win wipe his tears from his cheeks. Martha ask him in worried tone "Win dear, You should better eat dinner first". Win didn't argue he quietly gets up and walk towards the dinning area upon reaching he invited Martha "Aunty come joined me",  Martha shook her head in hesitation saying "But.. we are not supposed to eat .....how ... with you dear".  Win shook his head and gave Martha an encouraging smile saying "Please, I insist it's little lonely to eat all by myself. I'd be glad to have your company". In the end Martha couldn't able to deny Win. She occupied the other seat beside Win as they both eat their dinner talking about Bright and his childhood. Bright's parents both Ram and Uma were always on business trip, so Bright was left under Martha care most of the time. She share how Bright was a naughty kid. Win smile and laugh little as he enjoyed hearing the tales of his husband's, how his teachers were endlessly complaining about him being a bully in primary school. When both of them finished eating dinner Win excuse himself and went back to his bedroom.
