Chapter 40

Bright walk inside his bedroom and closed the door behind, after turning on the lights he stared around his bedroom. Win clothes were still neatly hung in the closet. His dressing table neatly made. Win old memories were still intact on their places. Bright walk around and run his hands on all of them. They used to smell like his sweet wife, they always reminded him that Win was real in his life, and not just the piece of his imagination. But now that was gone too with times. Bright's eyes landed on Win's bunny printed sweatshirt, it was his wife's favorite clothing to wear on his day off or on his lazy day.  Bright closed his eyes and sniff the fabric trying to feel the presence of his wife in it. Suddenly he heard his favorite voice "Bright", Bright open his eyes and turned his head to the source and his eyes widened in surprised to see Win standing by the enterance of their balcony. Win chastised "Bright you can't hate that.... Though it's old but That's my favorite comfy cloth...  Give me back". Bright whispered in disbelief "You're back baby... You're". Bright immediately stride towards the balcony but before he could reach they both heard a small baby voice "Mommy....". Win instantly walk towards the small baby with a wide smile. Win pulled the baby into his arm and started showing him stars and moons in the vast night sky. Bright eyes filled with happy tears witnessing the beautiful sight before his eyes. Everything felt so real that it blurs the line of reality and fantasy for him in that moment. Bright with wet eyes and tears stained cheeks walk closer to his wife and son but as soon as he raised his hands to touch them everything melted into thin air.

Bright stayed standing on the spot  watching  and wondering where his beautiful family go, he look around, then to the vast dark night sky. This place was the most closes to him, in the entire house. He look around few more times in longing but there was no one. It was exhausting five years of his life without Win. From the day Win left, day by day he endured extreme pain and emptyness. He'd  always hope to bump into his wife somewhere but there was no trace of Win at all. Now when Win is back he feels more miserable because Win hates him. But Win is everything he needed back in his life. And there was nothing that can ease his pain and filled his emptyness except Win and his son. Bright closes his eyes and let the tears fall down. He could understand the hate Win is feeling for him. All those five years he wanted to see him just once and apologize to him for what he did. He want to go to his knees and apologize to Win. He is ready to take any punishment from Win without any word. He's ready to endure all the hate and angst. He will do anything just to get his wife and child back into his life.

Since Bright find out about Win and Light, he could see the image of his son with Win. Each time he think that he and Win had a child a sudden warmth envelope in his heart which was filled with sadness and happiness at the same time. Win hates him to the point that he doesn't want him anywhere near to Light. But no matter what no one can stop Bright from claiming  what belongs to him, he will do anything to have his wife and child back in his life. And he know from where he should start on whatever terms Win decide. But before that he need to be stronger and face his incompetence. He owe some explaination to his father for loosing their ancestors company which was his great grandparents have founded. The legacy is now under someone else because of him and him only and now it's the time he start amending his broken life.

Bright parked his car in the garage, at his parents Mansion. It's been five years Bright spent his time here more than a hour. Upon entering he kissed his mom's Uma cheek. She was looking disappointed at Bright she inform  "Your father is waiting for you at the library". Bright walk inside his father's library.  He took a deep breath and open the door immediately his eyes landed on his father, who wasn't looking happy at all. Bright slowly entered and about to call his father but Mr Ram ask first in serious tone "How did it happen Bright?. How could you let this happen?.  When did you become this irresponsible?. What happened to you Bright?. You were a great businessman. But now you're at the bottom".
