At such a young age, both Wanda and Pietro lost their parents from the bombings brought by the war in Sokovia.

They were only eight years old when it happened. Being a selfless kid, Wanda kept blaming herself for their parents' death. Even Pietro couldn't convince her that it wasn't her fault. But she knew better.

Wanda knew that if she didn't force her mother to tell her a bedtime story before sleep, their mother would have taken the milk bottles from their barn a little too early and their father wouldn't have to wait for her.

They would have all been safe when the barn caught fire during an explosion.

For years that came, paving their ways from orphanage to orphanage, from worst foster parents then back to the orphanage, Pietro was all that Wanda got and she grew very protective of him.

Especially with his immature behavior and lack of cognitive thinking, Pietro was an easy target.

Joining Hydra made it easier for Wanda to keep her brother safe at all times. Promised with the adequate power to be acquired, she was grateful towards Hydra for some time until they killed Pietro eventually after the siblings decided to join the Avengers.

Losing Pietro was a warning sent to Wanda. That she couldn't love someone and not lose them in the process.

The first time she met you, you were a cute blabbering mess. Your mind was good natured, honest and sweet apart from the dirty thoughts you had wondering how her mouth would taste like against yours. You became fast friends with her brother which she grew envious of. But it was easily forgotten when you always charmed her with your corny poems or handpicked flowers from Pepper's garden.

The thing you didn't know was that you never needed to buy her affection. You had no idea on the effect you had on the brunette. When you'd shown your interest towards her, it was the happiest she'd ever felt since losing their parents. Wanda knew you'd love her more than she could ever imagine how much love was there for a person to offer.

It was as if life was finally good to Wanda.

Until Pietro's unexpected death.

She blamed herself for it. Because if she didn't push Pietro to leave her alone that day when he was teasing on the makeup she was wearing just for you, he wouldn't have come down the living room and Steve wouldn't have seen him and asked him to join on a mission.

Her brother would have been alive and well.

His sudden death was a great reminder, that Wanda couldn't love anyone that would last forever, that would never leave her and hurt her in the end.

So she did what she was supposed to do. She learned from her mistakes.

Wanda hurt you. Even physically, which she was guilty of. So you would give up. Difficult as it was, she tried to push you away and despise you on your advances.

You were persistent yet still caring and understanding that her heart ached so much. And that was what she loved about you.

Involving Vision, who was a literal human toaster, as her secret weapon made it possible. You finally gave up on her.

Even though she asked for it, it hurt Wanda so much, she cried for nights straight until Vision noticed. And he did what was best and agreed to break up with her. That was the time you saw her crying in the balcony.

And you were still caring even when she had hurt you so much. Upon seeing the light of hope from your eyes, flashes of her parents and Pietro's death appear right before her. She couldn't lose you too. She became so scared, she desperately tried to hook up with a stranger at that party so you would turn off the light.
