CH 21

Chapter 21

NICOLE POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm, something that I haven't had to experience in quite a     few days because of my suspension. On the bright side, I will get to see Waverly more throughout the day. Just as I think that Waverly starts to turn over in my arms.

"Good morning Waves. How did you sleep?"

"I slept great especially when I sleep next to you."

She smiled and leaned up slightly to give me a quick kiss, but I don't let her pull away so quickly and I deepen the kiss. I get slightly carried away and slide my hand under her shirt and rest my hand on her toned stomach. As soon as I do this she pulls away.

Waverly looks at me and rolls her eyes. I question her, "what is that look for?"

"That look is for trying to start something when you know that we both have to go to school."

"Aww come on Waves you're no fun."

"We'll maybe I'll be more fun tonight if you can stay out of trouble today at school."

"Oh well when you put it that way, I'll be on my best behavior!"'

Waverly laughs at me and gets up to go get ready for school and I do the same.

We both take turns using the bathroom to get ready and I'm ready before Waverly so I sit on the bed and wait. She eventually come out of the bathroom and I swear that she is trying to tempt me. Her hair is down and wavy and she is wearing a sweater which isn't out of the ordinary but she decided to wear a short mini skirt with it.

She definitely just caught me staring at her and my face turns a light shade of red. Even though she is my girlfriend she still seems to have that effect on me. I think she saw the effect she was having on me and just shakes her head with a smirk on her face.

She looks at me "stop staring at me and let's get to school. You don't want to be late on your first day back from suspension."

I get up from the bed and we jump in the car and head to school.

We pull into school and already I'm getting a good amount of stares. I tense up a bit because I wasn't exactly expecting this to be the reception I got my first day back, but I guess it's understandable when I punch their beloved Champ. I roll my eyes just thinking about him.

Waverly reaches over and puts her hand on my leg. I guess she can sense how I'm feeling and the thought that she is so in tune with me makes me smile. I just have to remember that I my true friends will stick by me and to not worry about anyone else.

We get into school and people continue to whisper as we walk by. Waverly grabs my hand which makes me extremely happy knowing that she is getting comfortable with public displays of affection.

I get to her locker and I just keep my head down. Waverly puts her hand under my chin and lifts my head up so that we are looking into each other's eyes.

She says, "Nicole, you need to stop worrying about what other people are saying. They don't even know you."

"I know, but it's just hard."

"Listen, you have me and this will all pass in a few days and no one will even remember it happened."

I shook my head in agreement and gave Waves a hug. She melted into me so she really must be starting to not care about us in front of other people which I love.
