Chapter Thirty

~Later that Night~

Eda's P.O.V

After making a light dinner of leftover cheesy tentacle pasta, the kids were passed out in their room.

I made sure that they were tucked in with their respective plushies. They were completely tucked out as soon as we walked through the door.

Luz could barely keep her eyes open while eating and King was already asleep in his high chair I carved into the style of a Kingly throne.

Hooty happily ate the rest of the leftovers while I got the munchkins to sleep.

Once I felt they were all nice and comfy, I made my way downstairs and made myself a cup of apple blood.

For the first time in over a month, I finally have a quite moment to myself and it felt weird to say the least.

Around this time, King would either be having one last campaign against the couch kingdom and Luz would be either helping him or tinkering with all the human tech she finds in the basement or from the trash haul Saturday.

I still remember the little invention Luz created awhile back. It was a mechanical little owl that uses runes to power it and other components to make it flap its wings. King and Hooty were in awe and started begging to play with it while I couldn't believe just how talented and smart she was.

I took a sip of my drink as I sat down on the couch and chuckle a bit as their was still small cardboard structures and plushy minions scattered around the living room. I mentally remind myself to get the kids to clean up in the morning as I let my mind wonder.

'Luz is growing to be one hell of a  special kid. Not a moment goes by when she isn't smiling or laughing while playing with King and Hooty. And the crush she's developing with baby Blight.'

I turn my head towards the once vacant wall that was now adorned with all the pictures I took of the three use this past month. Luz and King playing army, movie nights, and lesson time.

I was enjoying my quite time and hoping that my favorite night time crystal ball show was on when I heard knocking.

"Hello!!! Hoot are you one of Eda's friends!!! EDA YOU HAVE A GUEST!!!"

I quickly open the door and scolded Hooty," It's too late for you to scream this loud Hooty! You know how light Luz...sleeps..."

Standing their was my older sister in her Emperor's Conven cloak and a causal dress. She looked nervous and somewhat cautious as she fiddled with the clip of her cloak.

"Good evening sister."

"Hey Lily, here um come in. Sorry about the slight mess. King and Luz forgot to pick up their last campaign."

Lilith eyes widened a bit at the mess of toys, small boxes and the chariot of darkness, aka the RC Truck.

"How do you let them make such a mess?" She crinkled her nose a bit as she tries not to step in anything.

I had to laugh at the face my sister was making as we walk over to the kitchen.

"They'll clean it tomorrow after breakfast, since it's a stay at home day and lessons."

"Lessons? Isn't my niece in Hexside yet?" She gave me a disbelief look as I pour her a glass of water and gave her a small glare.

"No, Luz has an issue when comes to school." I handed her the glass and sat down infront of her," Luz had truma related to school and others except for a small handful of witchling she hangs out with."
