"You really forgot your cousin's birthday?"
My lips pursed for a second, and then a smile formed on the side of it while I glanced in Mom's direction.
"I know, My. I'm so sorry for my baby."
I then lightly chuckled when Venus' face, Vinaux's younger sister, flashed in my mind. That cute girl!
It's already 2 in the afternoon. Kanina pa kami sa mall dahil dito kami nag-lunch at ngayon ay namimili na ng ipangreregalo sa pinsan ko. It's her 7th birthday, and I'm thinking of buying her a makeup kit na bagay sa edad niya since she's just like me, masyadong kikay.
We were now walking inside the department store when Mom stopped before me.
"Baka naman you're thinking of Calihson too much?" There's a hint of playfulness in her tone.
"What, Mom?" Kumunot ang noo ko na parang naguguluhan at bahagyang ngumiwi.
She only chuckled and continued walking. I then remembered my conversation with Calihson last night.
"Oh, by the way. Today should be our date but since it's Venus' party, we'll just see each other tomorrow," paalam ko pa kay Mommy.
Bumalik ang tingin niya sa akin mula sa paglilibot at unti-unting napangiti. Her eyes were like twinkling, too.
"I still can't believe you're going to try him again," marahan niyang pagkakasabi.
"You looked super proud of me." I watched her reaction. Parang naging with highest honor ako kung tignan niya.
Natawa siya. "Of course."
She clung her arm around mine. In the end, we both decided to buy a complete BYS x Barbie Collection of makeup for Venus. After that, pumunta muna kami sa Starbucks para mamahinga at uminom ng kape.
"What are you going to wear tonight, honey?"
Binaba ko ang frappe sa lamesa. "Black dress."
"Why black?" she confusedly asked.
"Well..." I smirked. "It's Jassrah's brilliant idea."
Kumunot ang noo niya at kinalaunan ay napatango nalang. I took my phone out of my bag and opened my messenger.
I saw new chats from Nicole, some of my girl friends, and familiar guys from EUF pero ang binuksan ko ay ang GC naming magpipinsan.
Jonathan: oy mamaya ha? Walang KJ
Jillean: sana mafia theme nalang
Katrinah: nakatux talaga?
Jassrah: malamang body guards tayo diba? Alangan namang nakagown?
Zyke: dami mong alam.
Jassrah: di wow zyke.
I quickly type a message.
Me: @Yzel uuwi ka dito?
I giggled when Zyke immediately read my chat. Nakita ko rin ang pagbaba ng profile ni Yzel. She's now typing.
Yzel: Hi, Sari! Hindi kami makakauwi eh. Our finals is next week :(
Eliyah: Eh? Aayang naman :((
Vinaux: miss ka na namin @Yzel
Vinaux: @Zyke
I smirked. Gago talaga 'tong si Vinaux.
Zyke: what?
Vinaux: wala lang. tawag lang, mamaya na ulit.
Nakita kong nabasa na iyon ni Zyke pero hindi na nasundan ang huling chat. Nasa personal conversation na ata ang dalawa.
