Chapter 22

Her POV

"Ano ka, Bea?"

The glitter violet short dress that Beatrice was wearing made her stun amid the crowd. She girly twirled while holding a little crown on her hair, and sweetly smiled at Katrinah who asked her.

"A princess," she formally and softly muttered like one.

"Ahh," Katrinah smiled while nodding.

"Akala yata mangkukulam," singit ni Kevin.

The light in the gym is a bit dim, like we're inside a bar, but I can still clearly see the faces of my cousins, friends, and schoolmates, lalo na ang nakasimangot na si Beatrice at ang matagumpay na mukha ni Kevin na naka-costume ng pang-minion, naka-goggles pa.

"Gago ka talaga, Kev!" she exclaimed in irritation.

Nangingibabaw ang tawa ng lalaki. "'Yung suot pang-prinsesa. 'Yung mukha, mangkukulam."

"Fuck you, Kev! Tatahiin ko 'yang labi mo!" she yelled, making us laugh.

"Kita niyo? Pati ugali, ugaling witch!" dagdag pa ni Kevin na sayang-sayang asarin ang pinsan ngunit agad ding natigilan nang mapalingon ulit sa babae. "Oh, shit."

We watched him run for his life as Beatrice tried to catch his hair.

"Kevin Moreno!"

Tonight is our Halloween and Costume party. Actually, it supposed to be last week of October, pero na-move ngayong first week of Novemeber, isang araw pagkatapos ng All Soul's day.

We don't have anyone to visit on the cemetery last day since none of my relatives from my father's side have died. We couldn't visit Lolo's grave, Mom's father since it's too far away. Pinagtirik nalang siya ni Mommy ng kandila sa bahay.

After the academic break, bumalik na kami sa dating schedule. Calihson and I often see each other, mostly dahil nag-aaya siyang kumain tuwing labas ko at break naman niya. 

I really feel like our relationship is growing and becoming deeper than it was. I think our vacation really helped us know each other's feelings, and be more honest, and made me realize that my feelings for him became deeper also.

"Sarinah!"

Natigil ako sa pakikipagtawan kila Katrinah nang lingunin ko ang tumwag sa akin.

"Ang sexy mo talaga," puri sa akin ni Trisha, ka-strand ko. She's in her witch costume.

I decided to be Harley Quinn for tonight. My copper brown hair was in two messy pigtails and a bit curled on the tip. I also did her make-up style but make it look prettily cool.

Kate, in her ballerina costume soundly agreed with what Trisha said. "Anong secret?"

"I don't have one. I'm just born with this body," I smirked.

They both chuckled, amazed at my confidence. We continued chit-chatting near the dance floor while drinking a colored juice the SSG prepared when I heard some low flirty shrieks behind me.

"Who's that hot police over there?"

My eyes immediately yet swiftly followed who were they looking at. My lips then slowly parted as soon as I saw Jassrah together with my love, both wearing police attire with shades, walking at the side of the dance floor.

"Oh my gosh," I breathlessly uttered in shock and awe at my boyfriend's handsomely fine visual.

But wait, why is he here?

"Ang gwapo, mga bebs!"

I swiftly glanced back at those girls beside me.

"At hot, ah? Grabe!" Pinalo ng isa 'yong isa.
