The two walk into the intelligence unit being greeted by erin.

"Thanks for coming in, we gotta follow up on this when there's still a chance to find Keeler alive so" erin explains, "you warned us not to do anything to keeler, we took your advice" kelly says, "I've warned people before" erin muses, "fine, great, where are we doin' this?" kelly asks, "I won't be doing your interview, Carter if you don't mind following me" erin instructs as she leads carter to her desk, voight opens the door to his office, "hey, Kelly", carter takes a seat in front of erin's desk, "Wednesday night" erin prompts, "I was home the whole night with Kelly" carter explains, "what about your roommate, Leslie Shay?" erin asks, "Shay was out with friends" carter provides, "she your love rival?" erin asks, carter bites back her laugh, "she's a lesbian and my best friend", "anyone come over?" erin questions, "no, it was just me and Kelly the whole night" carter says, "are you sure?" erin asks, "yes, I'm sure, I know who comes and goes from my place" carter huffs in frustration, "sorry, I gotta ask these questions" erin reasons, "It's not your fault" carter puts her hands up.

The duo walk into 51 and go in search of clarke and capp.

"Clarke" kelly nods his head in the direction of the coatroom, carter taps capp, "you too" carter instructs, "anyone from CPD talk to you?" kelly asks, "no" capp shakes his head, "no" clarke repeats, "the whole Keeler thing we never had that conversation, we don't talk about it again" carter instructs, "okay" clarke nods, the two begin the walk to their office when otis jogs over, "hey, were you just over at the district?" otis asks, "yeah" kelly says, "something happening with the Keeler case? did he turn up?" otis questions, "not that we heard" kelly says, "well, what'd they say? do they have any theories?" otis asks, "Otis, we don't know, they don't CC us on the memos" carter snaps, "let me know if you hear anything" otis orders, the alarm rings moments later sending the crew out to a car accident.

The crew pull up to find one car on fire and another smashed into the wall of a house.

"Squad 3, make sure no one's in the basement then evacuate that building" boden instructs, "mills, you're in the basement with myself and Severide" carter instructs, the three head down to the basement and mills opens the door allowing them to step in and begin making their way through, "fire department! anybody here, call out!" kelly shouts, "Strand, Severide, there's a female victim and a baby in the basement, I hear a man, but I don't see anybody else" matt radios, "In here, help! quick!" a man shouts, the trio follow the shouts finding the man trying to hold the car back, "hey, we got him" carter radios, "get them out of here!" kelly instructs, "I got the baby" mills announces as the two lieutenants go to pull the woman out, "she's stuck under debris" carter says, kelly joins the man in trying to hold the car back, "Casey!", "this is my fault, I swerved to avoid a dog, and I hit this car, ahh" the man explains, "you need to get out now, okay?" carter instructs, mills rejoins his lieutenants, "take him" kelly instructs, mills puts his hands over the man allowing the man to get out before he lets go, "you got it, guys?" carter asks, "got it, yeah" matt shouts down, the car slides further in knocking kelly down as carter jumps back quickly, minutes later the car begins to lift having been chained to 81 where cruz was pulling it out as he reverses allowing the two lieutenants to get the woman out safely and carter to check her pulse quickly and hold her head still like a c-collar would as kelly carries her out.

Most of Squad sit at their table out on the apparatus floor when otis walks over.

"Hey, you got a second?" otis asks, the two follow him to the spot in-between squad and 81, "hey, so Detective Lindsay just called, she wants me to come in for questioning" otis explains, "okay" kelly says, "she's cool, right? she's a friend of yours?" otis asks, "Otis, is there something you want to tell us? cause if so, don't tell us" carter instructs, "look, I, I just" otis says, "hey, chief" kelly calls out as boden joins them, "hey, Detective Lindsay get a hold of you? She called the office line earlier" boden asks, "yeah, yeah, she got through, thanks, chief" otis confirms, "this regarding Vince Keeler?" boden asks, "uh, yeah" otis confirms when the alarm goes off and he tries to leave, boden stops him, "that's ambo" boden points out, "ah" otis says, "something going on here I need to know about?" boden asks, "they're interviewing everybody who had any contact with Keeler before he went missing" carter explains, "okay" boden says as he walks away causing the couple to walk away, the crew gather in the kitchen under jones' instruction, boden walks in, "uh, what's going on here?" boden asks, "jones has an announcement to make" kelly says, "yes, could I have the guest of honour right here, please?" jones places a chair in the middle of the room motioning for herrmann to sit in it, the man complies and jones picks up a large pink box, "to commemorate herrmann's last day producing sperm" jones flips the lid open revealing a cake, "It'll keep producing sperm, it's just not gonna make it to my, oh, boy" herrmann says as he catches sight of the cake, the crew lean over getting a look at it causing them to laugh, "Is that a rocket blasting off?" capp asks causing more laughter, "so I guess the 20th anniversary gift is wood?" matt asks causing more laughter, "uh, you know, I think we're good here, and everybody should just get back to work" boden instructs as he pats herrmann on the back, the couple sit in their office when carter perks up with an idea, "hear me out on this, you can yell at me if you want or give me silent treatment but you don't think Benny has something to do with Keeler's disappearance do you? cause he wanted him to pay for what he did to Katie" carter explains, "maybe, we'll speak to him tomorrow find out if he knows anything then we'll go to Lindsay" kelly decides, "don't start out with accusations take it one step at a time maybe don't accuse him just try and coach it out of him" carter instructs, "I'll try" kelly shrugs.

Carter and Shay sit at the dining table with benny who had randomly showed up when kelly walks in greeting carter with a kiss.

"Hey" shay calls out, "hey" benny greets, "hey, pop" kelly says, "you've got to try this, It's craziness, It's a fish called crappie, and I've already made all the jokes" shay explains, "any more on the keeler of it all?" benny asks, "I'm good, so is Carter, but now they're looking at Otis" kelly explains, "what? give me a break with that, Otis, seriously? I mean, in a multiplayer video game maybe he'd kill someone, it's ridiculous" shay says, kelly sits down next to carter, "yeah, well, still, he ain't tellin' em anything they want to hear, apparently" kelly says, "just tell him to keep his mouth shut from here on out" benny instructs, "this fish is unbelievable, Is that for real? like, you actually go out on a lake and you cut a hole and you fish? like, what's the, what's the trick? you just dress warm and don't get bored?" shay asks curiously, "Shay, I love you and you know that, but you could never cope with fishing you'd be bored stupid" carter points out, shay shrugs, "never go out alone, bad things can happen if you get caught out in the wild alone" benny explains.

The crew pull up to a call spotting a man on the roof.

"Strand, Severide, check the bottom floor for damage" boden instructs, squad enter the building, jones reaches the guy trapped and squad wait for him to be lowered down, "be ready when this guy comes down, clear a path to get him out" kelly instructs, "Strand, Severide, he's coming your way" jones radios as the man gets lowered, "watch him, watch his head" carter instructs as squad get a hold of the man, "all right, we got him" kelly radios, the stairs collapse more, "Jones!" kelly shouts, the rope is pulled back up to jones and as she reaches for it the staircase collapses a little more, "jones, you all right?" carter asks, "yeah" jones shouts down, "steady, jones, take your time" carter instructs, jones grabs the rope and hooks herself onto it allowing matt to lower her down where squad help her down, "we got her" kelly radios, carter finds kelly in the bathroom having been searching for him around 51, "hey, Erin called we're completely cleared of having anything to do with Keeler's disappearance so is otis" carter explains, "that's great" kelly confirms, "yeah but I think Benny came forward about it, Erin wouldn't tell me but I have my suspicions" carter says, kelly shrugs and the two make their way out the bathroom, the crew sit in molly's for herrmann and cindy's anniversary party, otis walks over to the couple, "hey" carter greets, "so good news, um, Lindsay called, I guess all three of our alibis checked out, and they've exhausted all of the leads, so it's now a missing persons case" otis explains, "cool" kelly says, "Is it? cause, you know, that means Keeler's still out there somewhere" otis reasons, "he ain't out there anymore, Otis" carter says, the two clink their bottles with otis' and walk off.
