Act 14 - Retrieval

I trekked my way through the dense forest to scout Keivendar after the reports of an unsuccessful attack. I came to gather data about the Motherbird, an otherworldly being of ungodly power.

As I walked through the shrubs and bushes, I came across a smoking pile of scrap. With curiosity, I came closer to the wreck. Once I got close, I carefully placed my hand on the sheet metal. It is unlike anything I have ever seen. Dragging my hand on it has landed on an emblem. It has two stars, one inside another, and the grays inverted on each half. Unique symbol, I must say.

Pulling out my small sketchbook, I illustrated the emblem quickly before moving on. On my way to Keivendar, I spotted more metallic debris-about two with the same symbol. After a few minutes, a shadow enveloped my surroundings, and I looked up. It is the Motherbird in all of its glory. From the rumors and stories I heard from people about it, it is safe to say it is accurate.

Instead of looking at it in awe, I focused more on my task cause the humidity is stupid around these parts. As I was about to walk away, a loud sound erupted in the sky. The Motherbird launched something, and it headed...

The helios missiles pierced the hill and created a bright blue flash, followed by a shockwave. The dirt and stone flew all over the place. As the dirt storm subsided, it uncovered the Mobile Launcher Platform underneath. I swear to god, I heard a faint, high-pitched scream from here.

Whoever you are over there, an empress soldier or not, I'm sorry.

Ok, back to business.

Now with the MLP uncovered, all I had to do now was to move it. So, I let the system do my bidding and operate the damn thing. While it was happening, the people of Keivendar darted to the area. Some are pissed, some are in awe, and some are confused. Thankfully, Elisa has diffused the situation with a simple explanation:

I checked on Selina in the ADF-01 using a built-in camera, and she was asleep. I also noticed she apparently buckled on her seat belt. The view in the cockpit was dark since I deactivated the cockpit cameras and sensors. With that, I decided to do a bit of trolling.

If it works, it works.

I took control of the ADF-01 and flew it just high enough for oxygen intake with the help of the system. I opened the cockpit, revealing the blue skies to the grudgingly waking nun.

"Huh? Wait, what is–"

She didn't have time to finish the sentence as I rolled the plane with the cockpit facing the ground. Seline quickly looked up to see the earth the plane was speeding over. To add over the light prank, I sent words to the Text-To-Speech

"EJECTING"

"KYAAAAAAA–"

She fainted.

I rolled the ADF-01 back to its correct orientation, closed the cockpit, dropped to a hundred meters altitude, and slowed down. I proceeded to lower the landing gear and carefully touched down. I used my TTS to insist Elly pick Seline up. She flew to the plane and revealed out passed-out nun friend. Elly then licked Selina and carried her to the grass.

The Mobile Launcher Platform is finally on the move, and it is slow as shit. I summoned a bunch of T-72s and ZSU-23-4s to guard it. Suddenly, a screen invaded my vision, and I received two Ace Shards. I had enough to make an Ace Crystal. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I built up the courage to make and use Ace Crystal.
