Light shone throughout the bedroom, landing directly on my face. A small yawn escaped my thin, chapped lips. I turned over and felt a sudden figure. I opened my eyes to see a boy staring right at me.
I let out the loudest scream I could muster.
What the fuck is going on!?
The boy screamed as well, which only made me scream louder. I pulled my pillow from underneath me and started to swing.
"Baby, what's going on?" He called out.
I screamed even louder as I exited my bedroom and headed straight for the bathroom, where I locked myself in.
"There's a man in your house, Ryujin," I calmly spoke to myself, trying not to yell anymore. My dumbass locked myself in the bathroom. The more intelligent decision would have been to leave the building. I didn't even grab my phone.
A knock occurred, making me scream once more.
"You're trespassing!" I screamed. "My mom is a cop. She'll be home any minute!"
"Baby, why are you acting like this?" The stranger jiggled the door knob. Is this how I'm going to die? Alone in a bathroom. I can't go down now. I'm still single.
"Don't call me baby!" I snapped. "How did you get into my house?"
"Babe, you wished for me."
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Ryujin. Let me in," he begged. "I want to see your beautiful face."
"Am I dreaming?" I smacked my head repeatedly, trying to wake up from this nightmare.
"Let's dream together, Ryujin."
Oh my god, he knows my name. Is he an assassin? "How do you know my name?" I yelled.
"Because I'm your boyfriend."
"Boyfriend!? I think I would remember having a boyfriend." The door stopped jiggling. There was a strange pause. I placed my ear on the door, hoping to hear something. Silence is never good. I slowly reached for the doorknob, squeezing my eyes shut. This is the end, isn't it?
Suddenly, the stranger yelled. "Ahh, unhand me you, beast!"
I removed my hand from the knob and stepped back. "What are you talking about?"
"Ryujin, help, something is attacking me!"
I reached into my bathroom drawer and took out some scissors. I took a deep breath before opening the door. The same boy was standing in front of the door, and my cat was crawling all over his leg.
"This beast is trying to eat me!" He yelled pointing at Elvis.
"Elvis is not a beast." I picked up my cat, dropping the scissors in my hand.
"Thank you for saving me, babe."
"Who are you?" I said, finally calming down. This guy is afraid of cats. I doubt he can harm anyone. I placed Elvis down but kept him close just in case.
"Choi Beomgyu."
"Beomgyu?" I narrowed my eyes. "I've heard that name before." I thought long and hard until it hit me. I remembered the stupid comic book my dad gave me. Beomgyu was the male lead's name. I ran towards the book and held it up near Beomgyu. The character on the front looked just like him.
My eyes widen with shock. "Holy shit! No way." I shook my head. "Is this really happening?"
"What?"
"You're a character in my book. How are you here right now?" My mouth widened in disbelief.
"You wished for me."
"What are you talking about?"
"You made a wish to no longer be alone. I'm here now, so you are not alone." Beomgyu suddenly wrapped his arm around me. "I love you."
"Get off of me!" I pushed him with all my strength, making him fall to the ground.
"Are you not happy with your wish?" Beomgyu suddenly frowned. He started to sulk.
I stared at him for a second, examining his features. How does he look so real? Why is he so handsome? I was snapped out of my daze when my phone alarm went off.
"School shit!"
I can't deal with this now.
