Macaque wasn't lying when he said he'd let me roam around the dungeon and also when he said  he'd be training me.

These last couple of days were rough and things changed.

First off, I actually have no idea how long it's been. There was no light down here except for lanterns on the wall and few lights above. The ceiling was far up so those lights barely did much anyway.

Second, Macaque's training was worse now that he revealed himself as my ex mentor. He was tough on me every practice, he had no remorse sometimes. I've come up with bruises and scars and hurting bones, but all he did was cast a healing spell then leave me.

Monkey King tried to teach me the healing spell for myself since I normally spent my free time sitting with him, blocked by the magical bars. He was so weak, scrawny. I could tell he wished he wasn't so foolish to get them here, Wukong really wanted to help me. I snuck some food to him occasionally but that's just about all he gets.

Back to the spell, Monkey King did teach me, and I easily used it. The moment Macaque found out Wukong was teaching me though, he was not happy. He had yelled "Don't ever go near him! You are to stay away!" And I listened.

I did not want to disobey him, I was easy to listen to him. He was my mentor.

I still worried for the monkie though, stuck behind bars in pain. I wanted to heal him, but my mentor would be able to tell immediately. He hurt me. Macaque would hurt me every time I helped Monkey King. He eventually just gave up on the 'you make a mistake, he get's it' thing and took it out on me.

He seemed so stressed these last couple of days though, he was tougher, but careless for what he was doing. He got training over with, taught me spells and magic then left. He was hasty with it.

He'd taught me so much I thought I knew everything; but it probably wasn't even that much anyway.

Macaque stopped to talk to me one day about the power he had yet to explain to me, the one I had. I had been unaware of this power and I never knew when I used it or how to use it. He told me how. It was a mental thing along with being in close proximity to a being with power, I have to feel their aura, to want it. I have to have strong emotions to be able to attain their power.

He's told me powers I've stolen, which was Monkey King's, his own, Red Son, and some lady I didn't know. I didn't even know if she was huge yet. I felt like I knew what he was talking about though, for I've felt the presence he described.

The Lady Bone Demon, Baigujing. The Lady was much more wiser and powerful than both monkeys even if the Monkey King had stolen things of wisdom. Macaque was teamed with her thanks to his familiarity with the Demon Bull Family. He wasn't entirely a fan of her, but she was powerful.

Today I was practicing with myself, he had given me my staff back after I swore to never leave this room with the power I had from the staff. I swung and struck at the hair, doing moves of combat.

I was barely breaking a sweat, since I catch on quickly and have great stamina. I ended up stopping after I accidentally threw the staff, it crashing into a wall and sticking in the bricks. I flinched, the wall dusting and crumbs of the bricks falling to the floor.

I was clumsy though.

I walk over and snatch it out pretty easily, spilling it around before shrinking it and storing it in my ear like I was taught to.

I heard mumbling, Monkey King, who nowadays was curled up in the corner talking to himself. He had almost gone insane I think.

Some days I couldn't help but stand and watch  my old mentor from afar in the corner, stroking his tail. Many times I had to force myself not to walk over.

The large dungeon door slung open loudly all of a sudden and I jumped in fear, looking over. It was a very upset Macaque, a dark glare to his face as his tail lashed. He was walking towards me. There was urgent rants outside the door.

Macaque had already visited today so, why was he back?

"Kid," he started, sternly.

I nod a greeting, not speaking yet.

"I would have never let you do this so early, but the king is not happy. He is furious with Red Son. He wants to banish him. I cannot let that happen."

I scoff. Red Son had not once come for me or visited and this is his own house. I myself was furious with Red and I had a right to be. "Why should i be worrying about this along with you? Red Son has not tried to see me. He doesn't care."

Macaque glared at me, "Now, where thw hell did you get that accusation?"

I snarl, my tail lashing behind me now as well, "He has not even attempted to see me! This is his own house I am in!" I yell.

I felt a sharp tang at my cheek and my breath hitches in pain. Blood dripped down my cheek. I wipe it, keeping a straight face trying to hide the pain as much as I can. This was not the first time, I have many claw marks on me from Macaque's shadows.

Macaque bared his teeth in anger, "Don't make me anymore pissed than I already am, Mk." He grumbled, crossing his arms, "Don't disrespect me."

I scoff, looking away. "Yes, sir."

He sighs, "Do not be mad at the boy, something awoke in him and we think something happened. None of us have the time to watch him ourselves, even the king. Red Son almost killed his mother."

That shocked me, my head immediately turning back to listen to my mentor. "He did?"

Macaque nods, "Yes.  What we have now suggests one of the Rings of The Samadhi Fire was broken completely, letting that power free. Just one of those things can make the not unstable again. We cannot let him be by himself."

I cross my arms, "I don't want to watch someone all day, just put him down here!"

"Bringing him down here would be a mistake. He'd lash out more and cause more chaos in the fortress."

I snarl and turn my body away, "I still refuse," my tail wrapped around my ankle, tugging at it, like it wanted me to go. I stood my ground.

"Mk, this is not up for debate!" Macaque yelled. I could hear Monkey King shuffling in his cell, as if to watch. "You will go watch Red Son."

"No I won't! He can go burn down the fortress for all I care!" Suddenly a huge purple hand wrapped around me and my mind went blank. Suddenly memories of the Demon Bull king grabbing me flashed into Mind and I screamed and squirmed, but it was only a hand not connected to any body, but a shadow hand. It was squeezing me.

"Let me go, Macaque!" I yell.

Macaque shakes his head and turns away, starting to walk. The hand followed him, so I was forced to go. "I'm not watching Red Son, I don't care!" I decide to continue yelling even though we are going upstairs already, to the actually well lit walls of the castle. "You cannot make me!"

The hand only squeezed me more and I stopped trying from lack of breath. I could only glare as we walked closer and closer to the lab of Red Son.

In the lab, no one was there at first look. There were no inventions or ships, no furniture or anything. It was empty. But with enough glancing around, I noticed a body curled up in the corner, staring at me. I scowl.

The hand fades and I fall to the ground, sticking the landing easily. Macaque turns to me and holds out his hand, "Hand it over."

I already know he's talking about the staff, so I sigh, pulling it out my ear and making it bigger, tossing it into my mentors hand.

"Good boy." He whispers, ruffling my hair and leaving. The door was loud shutting, and it clicked so I assumed it was now locked .

I grumble under my breath, backing myself up against the wall and staying there, feeling the burning eyes of Red Son on me. I do not want him to look at me.
