Joe stood on the edge of the cliff watching the waves crash against the rocks below them. He only had a wooded fence in between him and falling down into the water below. However he continued to wonder down the edge of the cliff where he could stand at the edge ready to jump off. He loved the feeling of standing on the edge of the cliff composing himself before diving in, he loved the feeling of the wind through his hair and the impact on his body as he hit the water. No cliff was big enough for him. Joe took in a deep breath about to jump when he heard his name being shouted, he turned around smiling when he saw his daughter running towards him and his girlfriend not far behind. He met the girl in the middle lifting her up throwing her up in the air, the girl burst into fits of giggles as she flew through the air feeling her father having a tight grip on her hips so she doesn't fall.

"Daddy no!" She squealed Joe smiling bringing her back down setting her on his hip.

"What are you doing here?" Joe questioned leaning down kissing his girlfriends lips.

"Kaylee wanted to see you dive." She explained smiling taking his hand.

"I did! Is it scary?" Kaylee questioned.

"Yeah not a good idea for four year old girls!" Joe exclaimed kissing her head when she buried it in the nape of his neck. She soon looked up again when Joe set her back on the ground smoothing out her dress so it was straight. "Go over to where there fence is, we don't want you falling in." Kaylee ran off smiling at a butterfly which had just landed on a flower. Joe smiled when he felt a pair of arms wrapping around his neck.

"Four years in and your still great with her." She complimented as his arms snaked around her waist bringing her closer into him. He smiled feeling her bump against his stomach, his son was in there and was due within a couple of weeks. He couldn't wait to be a father again, knowing that they were older now and that their son would have a great start in life.

"Your just as amazing with her." Joe replied leaning down kissing her lips, she smiled through it kissing him back. Joe added as much passion as he could in it proving to her how much he really did love her. They had been together since they were just teenagers and finding out they were going to have Kaylee when Joe was twenty and she was eighteen only brought them closer together. Joe was the one who pulled away leaning his forehead on hers the two of them breathing heavy.

"I love you." She mumbled closing her eyes.

"I love you too Demi," Joe replied taking his arms away laying his hand on her bump kissing it through the shirt before speaking again. "That's why I want to do this." Joe went in his pocket but before he could get out what he wanted his eyes landed on his daughter who ran across the grass chasing the butterfly she saw.

"Kaylee get away from there!" Demi screamed but it was too late. The rock crumbled underneath Kaylee a squeal echoing around the cliff top as she fell.

"Stay here." Joe demanded his hand coming out of his pocket what he wanted to grab fell to the ground but neither of them were bothered about that at the moment. Joe rushed over to the edge of the cliff peering over see his four year old girl sat on a ledge not far underneath where he was.

"Daddy!" She squealed Joe able to see how scared she was.

"It's okay princess just take my hand and I'll pull you up!" He shouted getting down on his front leaning his hand down. A bit of encouragement and she stood up leaning up able to grab his hand when she was on her tippy toes.

"Joe!" Demi shrieked when she saw the rock around him crack but it was too late for anything else the rock collapsed under him Joe falling down grabbing Kaylee as he did bringing her close to his chest. Demi let out a sob as the world around her went silent not even able to hear the cries of her daughter or boyfriend. She leaned down picking up the blue velvet box Joe had dropped when he brought his hand out of his pocket. She opened it up gasping when she saw a ring.
