They were both shocked but they knew that they needed to get the baby warm and safe, it was heading into November and getting colder. Joe quickly slipped off his jacket leaning down taking the baby up in his arms, his breathing was heavy knowing that the baby in his arms could well be his daughter who was born dead when he was just eighteen and Demi was sixteen. He wrapped the baby up in his jacket the little girl settling down slightly but she was still whimpering as Joe held her close to his chest.

"We need to  get her to the hospital," Joe demanded Demi nodding her head both of them wondering back down the path Demi strapping Adam back into the car even though he too was getting a little fussy. They knew he would be getting hungry around this time. Joe climbed in the back next to Adam holding his tiny had as his other arm kept wrapped around the baby. Demi was sat in the driver's seat staring at the road in front of her. "Come on Dems, you can do this." Demi took a deep breath nodding her head starting the engine.

When they got to the hospital they rushed into the emergency room demanding for quick help, Adam was taken away with the nurses while Joe and Demi stayed with the little girl. He would be fed and kept amused by a couple of nurses while his parents were with the baby girl. Joe and Demi followed Dr. Greene into a room where the little girl would be checked over.

"How long was she on the porch for?" The doctor questioned pressing the stethoscope on the little girl's chest. She was still whimpering but Joe and Demi were holding her hands as she laid on the table knowing that she would be crying a lot more if they weren't. They will admit they were scared for the baby, laying naked on the porch without anything covering her. Any animal could have come over and had her as a meal, she was so venerable but they knew she was in the best place now.

"We don't know, we came back from our scan appointment and she was laid there. She didn't have anything on but Joe wrapped her up in his jacket as soon as possible." Demi explained, they knew that whoever the baby was that she was probably a returned. It was the only way it could be explained with how she was found. It was how Joe woke up and how every other retuned has been found. Nobody still had an explanation but so far Joe was the only one in town and people weren't taking it very well. Giving them all looks as they walked down the street, they didn't really care. Joe was just happy that he was chosen to come back.

"Well besides being a little cold and hungry she seems fine, we'll take her over to the children's ward. Give her a bottle and put her into a baby grow and let her have a sleep. I think she will be fine in a couple of hours. Do you think she could be your daughter?" Dr. Greene questioned both of them nodding their heads.

"We had a little girl when we were both teenagers but she was born dead, we think it could be her returning to us." Joe explained the doctor nodded his head too.

"We'll run some DNA test and take some blood from her to see if we can pin point her exact age," Joe and Demi agreed only then letting go of the baby's hand but Demi picked her up this time holding her against her chest. "Make your way to the children's ward and hand reception this slip, they will take it from there."

"Thank you." Joe replied taking Demi's hand as they both left the room.

"We might just have out Ella Grace back." Demi grinned squeezing his hand.

"If this is Ella then I'm believing more and more that Kaylee will one day be back with us and that this baby growing inside of you is the baby we should have had before Adam was born." Joe grinned himself Demi smiling.

"I love you." Demi spoke looking up at him.

"I love you too Demi." Joe answered leaning down kissing her head gently before the two of them picked their pace up to get the little girl a warm bottle and into something warmer.
