Chapter 5

Natasha got up and pointed out to me that I should follow her. But it wasn't just me who got up, it was Bucky and the star guy. "What do you guys want?" asked Natasha and looked at Steve asking. "We're coming with you!" "No, Steve. This is a conversation among women." The star guy looked at Natasha confused. "I'm not going to leave you alone with her. So either we come with her or you don't have your conversation with her!" He sounded angry. She looked at me and then the boys. "All right." She went ahead again, and I followed her. The boys came after me again. Until we went into an interrogation room. "Sit down." Natasha said, pointing to the chair across from hers. I sat down and waited for someone to start asking. But I had the feeling that more people were there and listening. So I closed my eyes to focus better. I heard voices to the right of me. So I looked to the right and there was a kind of board, but I think it's just a cover. Now I feel like an animal that serves as an exhibit. "Let's start easy, what's your name?" I looked back at Natasha, who looked at me kindly. "Y/N or violet." I said that like I wasn't sure what was right. But it was unconscious. "So you have two names Y/N Violet?" "No, my name is Y/N, but there's still Violet." All three looked at me confused. "Who's who?" asked the star guy. I was breathing in and out loud. "At Hydra, Violet is my name instead of invisible girl as you call me, the person who..." I didn't finish the sentence because fragments of memories came up. "The what?" Natasha asked in a serious voice. I shook my head slightly and then looked around. I didn't want to finish the sentence. I never said it out loud, because then it feels more real. The deeds I've done and still do. Even if they're part of my life and I don't know anything else. I never say it. "My real name is Y/N." I said, hoping they wouldn't ask again. After a brief silence, the star type asked, "What are you?" "And with whom or for whom do you work?" Natasha added. I looked at Bucky. He's the only one who doesn't ask. He just looked at me and watched me. I looked at my hands and started to tell. "I don't know everything either. I had a letter from my real mother. It says who my father is. I wanted to find him, and I don't know."Get away from Hydra." said Bucky, I looked at him and nodded. "And where's the letter?" "I think I left it at Bucky's house." Natasha nodded and waited for me to continue. "Is Bucky your father or why did you go to him?" I looked at the star type and said already slightly panicked. "No, he's not my father. Oh, God, no."Could have been, because Hydra might have his DNA or something." I just shook my head. "They have several files on the Winter Soldier, and it said where he came from, and then I walked through Brooklyn for days until I found you." I only looked back at him and saw something like pain in his eyes for a moment. "Bucky's gonna get that letter later, and now tell us what you are?" Natasha looked at me seriously and I knew I had to answer a part so she could calm down. "I'm like a werewolf. I was born that way, and I have the ability to make myself invisible, but that came later." Everyone looked at me and I didn't hear any speeches behind the board. "But you can't control it, right?" asked the star guy. "As a small child, I could always change back and forth. But at some point it wasn't that easy. I had forgotten minutes and then hours. Up to days or weeks. I remember some things, fragments, but never everything." I didn't look at anyone and pretended to be scared. "They erased your memories, I think." said the star type. "Then what do you want here and what is your mission?"I looked at Natasha in amazement. I just said I wanted to find my father and ran away from Hydra. Why doesn't she believe me? So I have to say something to make her believe me. I thought it would be easier, so I guess I was wrong. "I don't want this anymore, all this. I know I've done bad things, but I never wanted to. I tried to fight back, but they were getting stronger. I really didn't want any of this"... I said and started crying. I looked at her crying and her gaze went from I don't believe you, to I'm sorry, I believe you. Inside I smiled and thought it was light. "You can stay here for now and try to find your father."We'll help you with that." added the star type and Natasha nodded. Bucky, however, seemed to be absent and just stared at me. Natasha got up and walked out without saying anything. "I'll be right back, Buck watch out." and then he was gone.
