Warning! Slight angst!

Dark was actually an understatement. You couldn't see anything at all. You began walking forward until you came across a door, if your arms hadn't acted as a brace you'd have walked straight into it. You opened it and walked through, being met with a bright light.

You were in a beautiful hallway, you heard children's laughter as you turned around. You saw a small blonde child and a small black haired child run past.

"Catch me if you can, Thor!"

"Here I come Loki!"

The memory made you smile. You began walking down the hall and the scenery changed. Loki looked a little older now, he was sitting on a bed, with his mother who was admiring his wrist.

"What does it mean, mother?" He asked, his eyes full of curiosity. Wait, eyes, that doesn't make sense. His eyes are a beautiful emerald green here, but before his eyes were definitely an icy blue. Something isn't right.

"That's your soulmate darling. Whenever they tell a lie it'll show up here. Something tells me they definitely did feed the dog." She let out a small laugh patting her son's back.

You remembered that, you didn't like the food at your friend's house so you fed it to their dog, you denied it to this day.

You continued on until the scenery changed again. A teenage Loki stood in front of you, a golden helmet atop his head. It was a celebration for his brother Thor, you'd met him before. But Loki was pushed off to the side.
The next few memories you saw were similar like that. His father had always favored Thor it seemed. Leaving Loki on the sidelines all alone.

You came across a memory that caused your heart to ache. Loki was standing in front of his father, a small distance between them.

"What am I?" He asked, his tone confused and angry.

"You're my son." His father replied.

"What more than that." He was getting angry now.

"The casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day was it?" He began taking steps towards his father.

"No.." he began as Loki stepped further towards him.

"In the aftermath of the battle I went into the temple, and I found a baby. Small, for a giant's offspring. Abandoned, suffering, left to die; Laufey's son.

"Laufey's son?" Loki's eyes were glossy now, a look of hurt and betrayal evident in his eyes. It took everything you had not to run up to him and embrace him. He looked so vulnerable and hurt.

"Yes." His father said curtly.

Loki's breathing quickened. "Why? You were knee deep in Jotun blood, why would you take me?" He seemed angry now.

"You were an innocent child." Odin tried to defend himself.

"No..you took me for a purpose. What was it?" He was breathing hard now, panic and sadness coursing through his veins. He was angry and hurt. Odin didn't reply.

"TELL ME!" Loki roared. His voice sent shivers through you.

"I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day, bring about an alliance, bring about peace. Through you."

"So I'm no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me." Tears were streaming down his face now you couldn't feel your heart breaking.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"You are my son, I only wanted to protect you." He seemed unfazed by this entire thing.
