It was a cold morning in New York, winter being just around the corner. The city was just starting to come to life as people got ready for their day jobs and school.
You weren't one of those people though, you always got up bright and earlier than any sane person.

You ran your own cafe, so you always had to get there dead early to make sure everything was ready to open. You unlocked the door, opening it, a small smile made its way to your face at the little chime it made. Setting your energy drink on the counter you got to work. Your best friend and coworker would be showing up soon to help you. She knew how you were and didn't want you to burn yourself out doing everything yourself.

You were wiping the counter down when the door dinged again, you looked up and saw your friend's curly head of hair followed by the rest of her.

"Hey girl! Are you ready to rock today?" She always had so much enthusiasm it made your day a little better. You gave her a small smile.

"Of course, I still don't know how you always have so much energy in the mornings though." She got to work on the coffee and setting out the pastries you had made earlier.

"Lots and lots of caffeine girl." You laughed and the two of you continued to talk as you worked. Things always went faster when she was there to help you, she truly was your best friend.

As the sun began to rise the customers began filing in, trying to get some caffeine into their system before they began their day. Other than the busy morning the rest of the day up until the afternoon went by quickly. It had been a quiet day, it wasn't unusual for the afternoon.

You had run to the back to grab more sugar when you heard the door ding. You could hear voices as you made your way to the front.

"Why are we stopping in this dreadfully small place? We have business to get to." One voice said, it sounded like a man, his voice was smooth and deep.

"We're in no rush to meet with the others, I've seen this place a few times, give it a chance." The second voice was also a male, it sounded more gruff, a lot deeper than the first voice. You opened the door and walked to the front counter. You were surprised to say the least at the two characters in front of you.

The first guy had long blonde hair and blue eyes, he had what appeared to be a metal chest piece on with a red cape attached to it. He had on dark pants as well. He was extremely tall as well. He towered over you easily.

The second guy with him was just as tall, except his hair was black and it was slicked back while the first guys hung loose. He had on what looked like a black and gold leather tunic with a green and gold coat over it. He had pale skin and green eyes that reminded you of a forest. He had his arms crossed impatiently. His friend was the first to approach you.

"Hi, what can I do for you today?" You asked with a smile on your face.

"Hello there! I would like a regular coffee and one of your pastries here." He had a smile on his face as he pointed to the glass case like a child.

"Of course sir! And would your friend like something as well or will that be all today?" You could feel his friends' eyes boring into you as you spoke. It was starting to get annoying.

"Yes, my brother will have tea, any kind is fine." You wrung up his total and noticed he paid with a card labeled "Stark Industries"

"Can I get your names please?" The blonde gentlemen had already walked off practically jumping up and down in excitement. The black haired man stepped forward.

"His name is Thor, and I am Loki of Asgard, god of mischief and lies." He had a smirk on his face as he spoke. You let out a laugh.

"Well Loki of Asgard, god of mischief and lies, that name is a little long to put on a cup so I hope Loki is okay." You smiled at him as you spoke. A slight blush made its way onto your cheeks as he watched your every move.
