Finn ran to his house, unlocked it with trembling hands and literally stormed into the bathroom. Desperately he tried to wash away to blood, srubbed it away.
If someone ever finds this out, then he will probably spend the rest of his life in jail. But what schould he had done else?
Actually it was just self defense...Slightly stressed sat the 24 year old in his car, drove off and turned the radio on. "And here is the virologist's opinion on the current situation. Mr. Piranski, can you say what extent the virus will affect our lives?" asked the radio presenter neutral. "First of all, thank you for the invitation. The virus does not appear to be particularly dangerous, it's probably not much worse than the normal flu. I would like to ask all listeners not to panic. Don't worry. We have the situation under control and we're working on a medicament. But please, and this is now a appeal to everyone who hears this: keep calm and don't believe every report on social media and..."
Finn turned off the radio again and pressed down on the gas pedal. He just couldn't hear it anymore. This virus was played down on such an extend that it made him agognize over it even more.
His heart dropped into his pants and he slammed on the brakes as a reflex. However, he could no longer avoid it and with a loud crash the older man flew over the windscreen behind the car. Completely shocked, Finn looked in the rearview mirror and then quickly got out to see if he could still help him.
But what Finn found there terrified him. The man just got up, as if nothing had happened, instead of saying something, complaining or screaming in pain, he just made groaning noises and ran towards Finn. His skin was sallow and torn in places, it just hung down on his left cheek. He looked like a corpse.
A corpse limping straight towards him. Finn was scared, but decided to call an ambulance anyway, after all he didn't want to be behind bars for failure to provide assistance or murder.
When he got to his car, he left the door open and searched for his phone with shaking hands. Shortly after, he found it. It tooted for a while "Come on!!" he scolded loudly, and threw it away - no signal.
So he got out again, the pale man had almost reached him by now. Out of sheer desperation, Finn took his pocket knife in his hand as he approached the man. "You have to Sit down, sir, you 're probably in shock or traumatic brain injury..." But the man only responded with a deep grunt.
As the man reached Finn, he tried to bite him. Finn backed away startlet, trying to keep him away by pushing him away. In that moment he realized what he was dealing with. The man in front of him must have died some time ago.
The government just didn't want the country to panic. An apocalypse had broken out. In front of Finn was a real zombie An undead. Finn was afraid, pure fear, which luckily gave him an adrenaline rush.
Through this, he was able to stab the walker in the chest with the pocket knife. But nothing happened. The supposed man seemed as if he hadn't even noticed.
Next try. Finn thought as he stabbed the undead in the eye with the knife. The walker fell lifeless to the ground in front of him.
Finn had to sit down, the pocket knife falling from his trembling hands. What had he just killed, was it a human? No. It just couldn't be human, it was dead. Who fed on living people like an animal.
