2. Pancakes

George POV:

I woke up about 9pm and I sat up in my bed. I rubbed my eyes and stretched a bit. I didn't know what time Sapnap was coming over but I wanted to be ready by then. So I decided to get up to brush my teeth and change into my everyday wear.

I got up and changed into a white long sleeve with a blue t-shirt over, paired with a normal pair of black jeans. I went down in the kitchen not seeing anyone. "hello?", i said since i'm always the one to wake up last

I saw something on the table, so i went up to investigate. It was a note that said something about them going to town or some meeting. Which now made sense since it was so quiet. I was kinda hungry so i decided to make myself some pancakes.

 I grabbed all the ingredients I needed and got to work. I had a recipe I had always used ever since I was a kid, and I could basically do it blindfolded. I mixed the dry ingredients, then I added the milk and eggs. After that i mixed it well.

When I had my batter I poured it into the frying pan and let it sizzle for a bit. When you could see bubbles in the batter that wasn't cooking. It was a sign to flip the pancakes. I repeated all the steps a couple of times, until I had a small stack of pancakes. So i turned off the stove and let the frying pan cool down a bit, then i took the pancakes to placed them down on the table.

 I opened the fridge and took the butter as well the maple syrup. I sat down and started eating. Sometimes i liked when my parents where away in the mornings. It made everything so peaceful and quiet. 

I was thinking about what i should do after breakfast, maybe i should go for a walk in the garden? It was usually very pretty in the mornings and maybe I could see the new gardener. I didn't know what time sapnaps family where coming, but I guessed around noon. I finished my pancakes and started doing the dishes. 

Finally when i was done with that i went outside to the garden. I would say this was my second favorite place after the library. It was spring too so all the flowers were in full bloom, and it was like all the colorful flowers lit up the castle. I walked by the pink roses lightly stroking my hands over the soft petals. 

"They're beautiful aren't they?", i heard someone say. I looked up and saw the most gorgeous person I've ever seen. He had dirty blonde golden locks, freckles all over his sun kissed face and the most wonderful green eyes. He laughed slightly and turned to me. "im clay", he said reaching his hand out with a smile. "uh i- my name is George", i managed to say as i took his hand. We stood there for a few quiet seconds until i said. "So I'm assuming you're the new gardener", I said. He laughed again "well perhaps i am? i don't know what else i would be doing in the royal family's garden", he said.

 We started walking looking at the flowers and talking a bit. "sooo..what made you apply for the job?", i asked him. He looked thoughtfully over the flowers "..well mostly because i needed a job, and i like gardening quite a bit so it was kinda perfect", he said now turned to me. We walked in silence but it wasn't awkward silence, it was more peaceful.

 "Well i have to get back to work, I don't want to get fired on my first day", he said laughing again. "Well I'll see you around!", I said and waved as I walked away. He waved back and continued with watering the flowers.

Walking inside my mind kept wandering back to Clay, and I wasn't sure why. I mean he's just the new gardener..and maybe the world's prettiest person. Honestly it feels like I could've just watch him work for hours and never get tired of it....okay George pull yourself together.

 He's just your new gardener and there's nothing special about him, stop acting like he's the love of ur life. Even though you have no idea how it is to be in love with someone and you have 0 love life. 

When I came inside my parents had finally come back from their meeting or whatever they were doing since I saw them in the living room talking. I'm guessing they were talking about something that happened but i didn't know. "oh there you are george! i hope you saw our note", my mom said. "yea i saw it", i said so she didn't have to worry that i thought they maybe "disappeared".

 I was hoping sapnap came soon since he was my best friend ever since we were kids. I have some of my happiest memories with him because when he visits, we do everything together. Like this one time when we climbed the tallest tree in the forest. Besides it got kinda lonley in the castel at times, so him being here would be nice company 

I don't know how long his uncles, skeppy and badboyhalo had been a couple. But i would say they are the sweetest people i know. But from what I've seen they bearly fight like at all and if they do it's like an old married couple. For some reason my mom and dad think they're just "best friends" and I'm not sure why.

 But i think theyr not super supportive with people being gay..since the traditon is that there is a king and a queen. But bad and skeppy doesn't seem to care too much and personally i think they're the sweetest couple of all time. Then I hear a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!", i hurry to say as i rush to the door. I open the door and surprise surprise it's sapnap, bad and skeppy. "GEORGEEEEEEEEEEEEE!", sapnap says attacking me in a hug. "SAPNAPPPPPPP!", i said trying not to fall in his attack of a hug. I hear bad and skeppy laughing as sapnap is attacking me with the hug. When sapnap finally loosened up his grip and let go i greeted bad and skeppy "come on in you two", i said making the gesture for them to come inside.

 "Hello bad, hello skeppy! welcome", my parents greeted them. "thanks for letting us stay for a while", bad said putting his hand behind his neck "oh no problem! its a plesure and im sure george is happy to have sapnap here", my mom said looking over at me and sapnap doing something stupid

I dragged sapnap up to my room and he flopped onto my bed. "so..i'm guessing you're sleeping in my room as usual or would you rather stay in the guest room with your dads?"I said looking at sapnap "no of course i'm gonna stay with them and i have to listen to them moaning", he said imitating bad and skeppy "SkEeEPpY!AhHhhhH ~ I nO not TThEErEEE~, be quiet you muffin!~", he fake moaned as he imitated them.

 I started laughing my absolute ass off and i had to grab hold of the door knob to not fall. Sapnap started laughing as well but we were interrupted my bad standing in the door "what are you laughing about then?", he asked us with a grin on his face me and sapnap looked at each other trying to decide if we should tell him or not "..or maybe i don't wanna know..", bad said with his grin disappearing off his face. 

"Well me and Skeppy are staying in the guest room and I'm guessing you're staying here with george sapnap?", he said looking at sapnap. "yeah i'll stay here", sapnap said sitting up in my bed. Bad gave us a quick nod and left most likely to unpack his things. "well should we go find a mattress so you won't have to sleep on the floor", i said to sapnap still standing in the door "yea i'd rather sleep on a mattress then the floor", sapnap said and got up from my bed.

-Time skip to later that night-

Me and sapnap had finally found a mattress and dragged it up to my room on the second floor. The first thing he did after we placed it next to my bed was collapse on it. "man i am TIRED", he sighed. "That's why we're going to bed now smartass",I said and rolled my eyes playfully. Me and sapnap had already got into our sleepwear so we could just go to bed. "You gonna turn the lights off?", he said.

 "yea just gotta close the window so we don't freeze to death", i said heading up to the window. Before closing it I looked out at the view. I was really happy I had the view over the garden. I preferred it much more than the view over town. I closed the window and layed down in my bed.

"goodnight george", sapnap said

"night night sapnap"
