George's POV:

I think I just had the worst week of my life.

First off, I'm pretty sure my parents hate me now. Because if I'm walking around the house and I pass them they just look at me as if I'm from a different planet.

They also stopped giving me food and stuff. So every time after they go to bed, I have to sneak down to the kitchen and grab whatever I can find.

I can't go down to town and go shopping either. Because my dad made sure I can't go out, and then I'll be able to meet Clay.

Don't even get me started on how much I missed him.

I was carving his sweet soft lips and gentle touch, I think I'm actually going insane.

Luckily today after my parents fell asleep, I decided to explore other parts of the castle. The night was cold as I wandered around.

That's when I stumbled across a door I hadn't seen before. Grabbing the doorknob I turned it to the right.

The door opened slightly. I glanced inside the pitch black room, you couldn't see anything. There was a drawer that was a bit visible. I pulled out the first box of the drawer and found a flashlight.

Closing the door behind me and I clicked the flashlight on. The floor felt cold under my feet, the air was even colder than upstairs as well.

The light wandered around the room. Lighting up different objects.

It seemed from what I saw it was a giant storage room. All kinds of things scuffed away in boxes. Everything had a thick layer of dust on it.

No one had probably been there in at last 2 years, if not more.

All the boxes had different labels written in black marker that defined their contents. I looked in some of them and found some..interesting thing to say the least.

Finally I found something useful. A small gas stove for made for camping and a few tin cans. Although I had to check if you were able to still eat them.

I grabbed the box and put the flashlight in my mouth so I could still see something. Walking up to the door again I took the flashlight and put it in the box.

Slowly I crept down the hall and into the library, opening the secret bookshelf door. It's has basically been my hideout every since the argument with my parents.

The room is better for hiding food and supplies because they don't know it exists. I put the box down and collapsed on my bed once again.

Before standing up again and walked over to the wardrobe. Taking out Clay's shirt that I borrowed. I nuzzled my face in it.

It still had his scent.

The scent was vaguer then before, but it was still something. Laying down again I kept the shirt close to my chest, before dozing off.

- The next morning -

The sunlight hit my face and I opened my eyes. For a second I closed my eyes and imagined that Clay was next to me. Before opening them again and facing I had to get trough another day.

I stood up and put the shirt back in the wardrobe. My stomach growled, I hadn't eaten a lot yesterday. So first things first, I needed food.

Opening the cabinet door I scavenged for breakfast. Finding some bread and jam. I also took the gas stove to toast the bread because eating bread that was not toasted, was gross.

I added a bit of butter to the frying pan I had found in the box as well and turned the stove on. The bread started sizzling and I flipped it with a fork I had.

The bread was finally done and I put some jam on it and took a bite. It was the best sandwich I've ever had.

Okay, maybe not the best one ever. But if you haven't had a proper warm meal in a few days. A toasted sandwich will go a long way.

I made myself another one before deciding to save the bread for later. Exiting the room I wandered around again. The hunger games book series I finished a long time ago, so I was scavenging for a new book.

Or maybe I could paint instead.

Painting was what I had found myself doing the last few days, kind of as a coping skill. But it helped me at least. I had stopped a few years ago for some reason.

Having no luck in finding books, I walked down the hall to do something else. That's when I came across my dad. "George, I need to talk to you", he said and turned to me.

"What do you want?", I mumbled. "The wedding is taking place next week just so your aware", he said sternly.

I groaned internally. Stupid wedding, sometimes I wish I could have just been a normal person. Not royalty with lots of responsibility.

Maybe If i wasn't royalty could have not been so lonely and lived a normal life.

"Could Clay and his family come to the wedding?", I asked, a small spark of hope bubbled up inside me. Maybe I could actually see him again.

He sighed "Fine. Since your getting married to a girl it would probably be a break up for you and Clay"

For the first time in days I actually smiled. I was gonna see Clay again! I'd finally be able to see his pretty sun kissed face, pink lips and the the worlds most adorable freckles.

I hope he would hold me in his arms, and never ever let go.
