Marian
I wasn't given access to somethings the dinzel slaves had access to.Lara had sent me a dress not like the other uniforms but better than the clothes I had.
The other maids wore a blue short button up dress with a pouch and a white bow. Lara had sent a black dress with a round neck and a short pleated skirt. It was plain and reached my knees but my behinds made it short at the back.
I sat right outside my room to wash the clothes. Some servants murmured as the walked by but I wasn't so particular about that.
No one had talked to me. I was literally the only human within the castle gates and that scared me a little because they could at anytime decide to kill or eat me.
The cuts on my palms stung as I dipped my hands into the soapy water.
I washed the prince's clothes and spread them on the lines. I had made sure they were spotless and headed inside the castle, leaving it to dry.
That afternoon I went to the kitchen to get the prince and princess's lunch and gosh, the aroma was divine.
The kitchen was large and filled with anything and everything a kitchen could ever have.
Chefs worked twenty four seven in the kitchen and there alone I guessed were at least twenty cooks.
I walked past the head chef and the others and they moved away like I was covered in mud.
I took their food to the dining hall and set the trays on the large table.
The chandelier above the table was bright, causing me to see my reflection on the glass table.
Lara came down the stairs. "Ninety-eight," she called.
"The prince said he wants to be served in his room this noon." she continued.
God..
My heart beating faster as I arrived at the door of his room. Everything about him scared me but it wasn't nearly as bad as my fear of Riscow and his friends.
The thought of what they did to me almost brought tears to my eyes as I raised my hand to knock.
I knocked, then walked in making sure I didn't look at him as I moved closer to his desk.
He was on his bed, with his leg stretched and crossed. I didn't bother to know what he was doing.
I put the food tray down and prayed he wouldn't yell or even notice my presence.
When I had put the tray down successfully, I motioned towards the door as fast as possible.
"Is that cold water?" his voice made me stop in my tracks and turn back to the food I had put down.
"Erm..." I tried.
He jumped off his bed and picked up the full glass cup.
"I'm not a human! Do you hear me?! I can't drink cold water. Or are you trying to kill me?" he stepped closer as he spoke.
"I-"
He poured the water on me - my face.
I gasped and coughed as the water entered my nose.
"Get it into your slutty brains! Don't try to kill me!" he yelled in my face.
He threw the glass cup on the floor and it shattered into a million pieces.
I wasn't the one that poured the water for him, yet I got the punishment.
"Now, " he took a breath "get me HOT water."
