I haven't seen the prince in like three days now, but who's counting. Today is the day queen Alysia comes to the castle, Grumpy and I have been working all morning and noon.

When it was quarter past one, I begged for a break. I need a little 'me time' even if it's just for twelve minutes.

Lara had all the maids work hectically in the cleaning and organization of the castle. This really makes me have the impression that queen Alysia is extremely important.

The sun is out despite the season, I don't have a problem with that though. I'm sitting on the bench swing in the garden, kicking my legs lightly to start the swing.

I'm in my uniform again, my hair is packed up in a pony tail. My thoughts wander as I embrace the lovely smell and view of the garden. I know I wouldn't have the time to continue one of the novels so I didn't bother taking them from my room.

There is not much to think about when it comes to me. I'm just a poor, sad unfortunate human who could never experience real happiness. I want to keep believing I have something in store for me, I mean.. the fact that I actually work in the castle now. But it's still pretty hard to have that faith. Sometimes I wonder how life would've been if I still had my dad.

Twelve minutes are up, I'm sure, so I stop wallowing in my thoughts and get off the swing, leaving the garden.

On my way out, I'm concerned when I spot a familiar red car in the parking lot. I want to go check it out but I don't think there is enough time for that.

"Hey," I hear a recognizable male voice so I turn around to see who it could be.

"Oh, Drex." I face him completely. "You're here."

"Yeah," he nods, greeting me with the most lovely smile. His black t-shirt exposes his muscular arms and rests on his buff chest. There's a white skull on his shirt, which is quite a contrast to his pretty smile. He's standing an inch away from me and has his hands in his pocket. "I came to see Bruce, but some servants told me he's not here."

"Nope, it's been three days now." I'm actually a bit worried. I know I shouldn't though, he probably never gets into danger.

"Really?" His smile disappears as he clenches his jaw.

"Yeah," I rub my arms as the weather starts to change.. fast.

"Oh! I think I know where he's been? I might not be correct but I think he's staying at one of the guy's place. You know how Bruce is.. Anyway, how are you?"

"I'm as good as a maid should be, thanks. What about you? How's work?"

"Work's great, I just recently started this work with a publishing house." He informs me.

"That's fantastic. I love reading, it must be so much fun for you." I say without amusement on my face.

"It's okay. I guess if you aren't too busy, one of these day I could take you there.. for a read."

"Really? That would be so nice," I nod. "But I'll have to ask for permission from the staff head or the princess."

I feel a drop of rain on my cheek, suddenly noticing the mind that had been blowing my pony tail. Funny how it was sunny some minutes ago.

"It's about to rain. I should be on my way now." He reaches out to touch my arm. "I'm glad I got to see you."

I look down at his arm then at his face. His eyes are clear and sparkling. It's not the first time I'm staring at his face but everytime I do, I find a new beautiful aspect I just can't describe.

"I can walk you to your car." I don't break the eye contact.

"Sure," he let's go of my arm and we start walking towards his car. Before we get there, the rain starts, falling mercilessly on us.

"So quickly?" he notices how everything disappears in the heavy rain. "Get in the car," he hurries to unlock it with it's key and open the door of me to get in.

"Thank you," I say to him, sitting in his car and waiting for him to get in as well. My clothes are drenched.

He gets into the car and shuts the door. "The rain hates me," he chuckles, resting his head backwards on the car seat.

"Are you cold?" He lifts his head and looks at me. My teeth are chattering and I'm rubbing my arms to keep warm. "Of course you are, shit."

He swiftly turns on the car heater, it's on the highest.

"Thank you." I relax as the hot air fills the car. The rain is noisy and heavy, I can't see beyond it when I look out the window.

History is repeating itself. We're both stuck in, thanks to the rain.

"I think I have a jacket in the back seat," he reaches for the back and pulls out a black jacket.

Instead of handing it over to me, he leans in to place it over my shoulder. While fixing it in place he looks me in the eye and only then do I notice that he's only inches away from me.

He doesn't lean out, instead he keeps staring, I can hear his breathing and I'm sure he can hear my hear beating.

He looks at my lips and it does something to me. I don't know what has gotten into me, but I can't say no.

What's happening to me?
