"Thank you." I gently lay the glass cup on my side table. I have my nightdress on and my hair is a mess. My head hurts like fuck and my mind doesn't know where to freaking begin.

I have no memory of last night, it's like it was physically erased. This is why I don't drink. My legs are covered by my blanket, my head resting back on my headboard. Even though the drapes are covering the windows, my eyes still hurt from exposure to last night's light.

Leo had stayed with me all night and had cleaned up all the mess I made. I had no idea how he came over, but he explained everything to me over a cup of steaming hot water. He read the text from Bella from my phone. I don't recall viewing that message.

Forget my stupid memory loss, Leo has a casual t-shirt and shorts on. I hadn't realized how much I missed him till he was in sight. I was in desperate need of a warm cuddle from him. His purple hair is messy, but not as messy as mine. He has been running around to make sure I feel better and that makes me wish I never asked for distance.

"I can't believe Bella and Sophie left you drunk and all by yourself." Leo brings out a robe from my closet.

"In their defense, they were also drunk." I try not to focus on my head as my voice cracks.

"That's not an excuse, when you're done taking a shower I'll call Bella."

"Your highness, your bathroom is ready. I'll be taking my leave now." Marian emerges from my bathroom with an empty shampoo bottle and a wet towel.

"Thank you," Leo spoke to her. "Please arrange her breakfast quickly.. Or should I take you out?" He directs his question at me.

"No, I'm not leaving home today." I sigh.

"Just prepare her brunch, she'll be down in five."

"Down? I don't wanna go down." I pout, the thought alone makes my insides turn.. and not in a good way.

"I'll carry you." He bluffs.

Marian nods and leaves us alone in the room. Leo sighs before walking over to where I sat.

"It's time for your bath." He speaks but I remain still, my eyes are closed. "Come on.." he sits beside me. "Don't make me carry you."

"Right now, I wouldn't argue even if you did."

"Really? Well then I'm not gonna carry you." He states and I chuckle.

After my little laugh, there's a long silence and I peak to find him staring at me. "It's been so long," he says.

"So long?"

"Since I heard you laugh. It's seemed like forever." His face has fallen.

"Why didn't you call?"

"You told me not to.. You have no idea how hard it was for me to keep my distance. I would look at your name and shake my head. It was so difficult." The pain in his eyes is something only I could understand. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too." I sit up, starting acutely into his eyes as he brushes my cheek with his palm.

His lips are close and my mouth is watering.. there is an urgent need for him.

"Does that mean we're ending the break?" He breathes softly.

"Mhn," I nod gently. Venom rushes up to my head as his lips touch mine. Oh my days.. if only I could kiss him till dusk. His tongue is welcomed by mine as I steady my lips for him. His hands are quick, grabbing my chest and making me moan tenderly. He slows to a stop, leaving me in dire need for more.

"Come," he smiles. "let's give you a shower."

I was worried about the princess, but her boyfriend is really making an effort to take care of her. The princess's food request was delivered and I make my way back to my work.

The last few days have gone by like a cold wind in the desert. As I had guessed, the head chef didn't say a word to me after I made that sudden and awkward visit. I obviously tried to talk to him, but he'd never reply. I soon understood his cold attitude and stopped trying.

Prince Bruce and I hadn't seen ourselves since that day at the garden, the day he defined our relationship. By seen I mean have time to talk. Of course I had seen him from distances, but we just haven't run into each other.

Speaking of the prince, I was off to his room to do some cleaning. I had spotted his room door open while going to his sister's room earlier and he wasn't inside which wasn't so surprising because as at of the last two days he hasn't been around. He'd go out frequently and stay in his room for about two hours only.

Monitoring him wasn't my job though. As for doing my job, I'd say I've been doing just fine.

The prince's room door is left ajar like had seen some time ago. I walk in and shut the door behind me. After taking a few steps in, I decide against shutting the door so I leave it ajar just as I had been.

His room is a mess as expected. I start with the clothes thrown on the bed. I have to determine which clothes are clean and which ones are dirty. They look exactly the same and I'm scared the only way to differentiate is through a sniff test.

My fear is faced when I take the clothes one at a time and begin to sniff them. I get confused when I'm done sniffing the clothes and realize they all smell the same.

They all smell like perfume.. his perfume. The same one he was wearing the day we kissed. The memory leaves me weak and needy, but I resist, remembering what I'm here for.

All his clothes smell the same though he wore some recently.

Even his used clothes smell arousing. I think to myself as I begin to fold all the clothes on his bed- used and unused.

When I'm done folding, I arrange his books neatly on his table and dust all the furnitures. His laundry basket is almost completely empty so I don't bother taking the clothes there.

While wiping his bathroom mirror, I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, you came in today?" The prince asks as I'm turning around to face him.

He is in a black tank top and black shorts. Every visible area on his body is covered in sweat and I'm positive his skin is glowing. His purple hair is on his forehead and he is panting as though he has been running for ages. His arms are bulky and it's quite obvious he just had a workout. I stop staring like a lost puppy and clear my throat.

"Morning," I pass pleasantries. "I always come in, you're just not always here when I come." I reply.

"I've been quite busy." He laughs gently, exposing his perfect teeth. I snap my eyes away, walking out of the bathroom and into his closet.

He follows. "So what have you been up to?" He stays in the doorway of his closet, watching me as I hang some clothes.

"Just work.. Would you like anything special for breakfast?" I briefly slip in.

"Not really, just something healthy."

"Okay, I'll get it right after I finish with these clothes." I say without looking at him.

"Don't you ever take like.. a break?" He asks earning my eyes on him. "Like watch a movie or maybe sometime to yourself."

"Well I don't think that's possible with my schedule." I simply answer.

"Of course it is. If you keep working without rest you might have an overload."

"I don't mind that." I lie to get him off my back.

"Like it or not, you need a break, and you will have just that. You and I will be seeing a movie."

"Is this supposed to be you looking out for me or you instructing me?"

He responds with a light chuckle. "One of these days, I'll treat you to a good time."

I don't know how to reply so I walk out.

(I know this chapter sucks, don't blame me. Blame Stephanie, she's forcing me to write without inspiration lol. I have exams guys, I won't update till December, ILY. Also I need to read my book again so I don't contradict myself when I want to update)
