The morning is cool. It's early when I begin washing the princess's bathroom. She was still asleep when I got in so I helped myself to her bathroom to clean. Last night was beautiful, when the prince left I had butterflies up until the time I slept. I drew more pictures of him and hallucinated about the most beautiful things. I could not stop smiling and tossing on my bed. What made me so happy? We did not do anything physical, we just talked. Maybe it was the way he looked at me. The things he said to me. The fact that he came all the way to see me. I don't know what it was but I was running mad. I loved the way he opened up to me. I loved it when he said I should see him, the way his voice sounded.. like he really needed me.
This is all sweet but I have to be wise. I can not feel this way for long, this is probably not safe. I don't know though.. I just want.. I don't know what I want. Or I'm not ready to say it.. not even in my head. I'm scared that if I think it once, I will not be able to take it back.
My nose is no longer blocked thanks to the prince's tea, but I still feel under the weather. When I am done with the princess's bathroom, I step out with my cleaning tools.
Princess Rachel is awake now, she is lying on her bed face forward with her phone in her hand. Her bed sheets cover her up to her back. "Good Morning princess." I greet as I roll the pail with the mop stick in it.
"Oh hey love!" She looks at me and beams. "How are you? How was your night? I hope you were able to get some rest on your break."
"I'm fine Rachel. My night was good and I got some rest thank you." I slip my hands into my uniform pockets. "I didn't want to wake you when I saw you asleep so I just went along with my cleaning."
"No problem, that's fine." She sits up, covering her legs with her blanket. Her hair is tied up and she is in her night clothes. "Bella tried to talk me into going for Jim's birthday party." She says. "I told her I would only go if you came along." She pulls a smile.
"Me?" I place my hand on my chest on look behind me to make sure she was not talking to someone else that happened to be standing behind me. Nope, she is talking to me. "I would have loved to come, but I promised the head chef I would help him with a lot of cleaning at his place today." I hope she is not offended.
I would have gone for the birthday if I was not busy. Grumpy will not be happy if I do not help him like I said I would. "But I totally think you should go. The prince will need someone there with him."
"I'll think about it." She says in the kindest way possible. "I still have to prepare for the candle ceremony this morning."
"What's that?"
"It's a ceremony we hold in Brad's honour every year since he died." That sounds heart warming. I wish I could attend, but I will be spending most of my day with Grumpy.
"Well, enjoy yourself princess. I better get to work." I say and leave, heading to the prince's room.
There is no answer to my knock so I enter his room. I thought severally of how it would be when I see him. He always switches from good to bad faster than I can understand. I still have goosebumps when I remember how he spoke last night and how he looked at me. He probably won't be that nice today.
He is not in his room anyway and that makes me sort of dissapointed. I clean up his room and make his bed. His bathroom is dry, both his bathtub and the showers so I guess he has not been here today. That makes me wonder where he could have gone, but I don't think much about it.
My hair is tied in a low ponytail as I was his bathtub and the walls of his showers. The glass in the showers is greenish-blue, but it is a bit transparent in the sense that you can see that there is someone inside yet the image will not be clear.
