"I can't tell if I've been breathing, sleeping, or screaming, but I've been waiting for you." Those words have been circling in my head forever and I can't figure out just what they mean.

Bob placed the case folder down on my desk. "New assignment?" I asked nonchalantly.

"What do you think?" Bob said as he rolled his eyes. I grabbed the folder off the desk and opened it. I read the case of a vampire named Gerard Way. Basic information, 293 years old, usually 2 victims a night for 5 months. His picture was taped into the case folder, and he was quite charming, But that's to be expected considering he's a vampire.

Exactly what you'd expect a vampire to look like, black hair, dark eyes, pale skin, the stereotype.

If it's not clear already, I'm a vampire hunter. One of the best actually. Or at least I like to think so. Bob doesn't seem to like me much, but he never has. He doesn't like anyone and it will most likely stay that way. Bob, he's gonna be alone forever. Considering I've only done this for 8 years, they always come to me with the harder cases. This seems like one of the easiest ones I've had in a few years.

"Hurry up and get on it, Iero." I groaned and stood up carrying the folder along with me. Sighing at the fact that he doesn't know how to be quiet, his voice gives me a headache.

"Don't be like that, you know I'll get it done." Bob mumbled something under his breath along the lines of, 'nobody speaks to me that way, and walked out of my office. As if he could decide how I speak to him.

Whatever. He's right, I better get on this. Speaking of, It's 10 pm, so he's most likely looking for his next 'victim'. I remember when I was scanning the file I learned he prefers men in their late twenties. He sure does enjoy killing if he already killed so many in this area, 300 in just 5 months. Way too many for a vampire of his age.

I can work with this, I smirked. I grabbed my heavy items first such as my gun, and assortment of wooden stakes. As I leave the office building I'm met with my friend, Ray Toro. "Hey man, got you a cup of coffee before you go do your new assignment thing." he smiles, handing me one of those sleeved takeaway cups

. "Thanks, dude, I don't know where I'd be without someone here to give me my 10 pm cups of coffee." I chuckle as I take the cup from his hand. Ray's a cool guy, he's got cool hair, a cool style, and he's just overall pretty rad. Ray leaves after we walk together a little bit of the way there so we can finish our drinks and talk a little. Where is this vampire dude supposed to be anyway? It didn't say in the file where he likes to hunt. Assuming he's like most vampires he'll probably hunt in the back alleys of the city, where all the young drunk guys go to pee or whatever they do back there. Then again he seems to be a less suspicious target he won't be easy to find, and he'll never be where you expect him to be.

The woods. it's perfect, I've seen guys go back there all the time. Stories of the haunted woods have started to go around: young men go in there, and never come back out. That's exactly where he would be.

So what the hell is he doing, just walking around or what? It is quite peaceful here, you would never expect a clearing in the woods to be so calming, so therapeutic. Just washes all of your worries away. It can make you forget everything you're supposed to be doing with just a breeze from the wind.

I take a seat on the wet grass, walking around for hours looking for some guy sure does take a lot out of you.
