broken order

chapter one

Kalan moved through the thick jungle lightsaber in hand unlit his cloak was ripped and torn and flithy from mud and rain he and his garrison had been deployed to fulica to help fight off the advancing seperatist it had been a grueling campaign one that kalan would like to end he had lost just as many of his soldiers to the wild life as he had to the actual enemy they were running low on energy cells and medical supplies kalan doubted they would stand much chance against a company of battle droids. "We need to stop the wounded need rest." His commander moria dez stated kalan looked back at the numerous wounded and at the flithy water they seemed to constantly be wading through. "They need out of this water the next city is just a kilometer ahead." Kalan said. "They wont make it a kilometer if they dont rest." Dez stated. "Alright we will rest for one hour but then we need to keep moving." Kalan stated.
A blaster bolt came out of the upper branches hitting one of the clones in the head ending his life before he knew what hit him kalan turned in time to see dozens of battle droids descending on them mostly superbattle droids the droids opened fire on them the clones returned fire at the droids kalan ignited his green blade adopting his form three stance deflecting blaster bolts back at the droids that fired them destroying several of the droids he reached out with the force crushing several more while others were destroyed by his clone troopers firing into the droids. He slashed through four of the droids using the force to blast eight more into trees causing the droids to explode more battle droids came down at them and kalan looked back at his clones only eight of the thousand assigned to him were left standing he continued to deflect blaster bolts back at the droids suddenly green beams of energy and missiles rained down on the battle droids as Republic gunships arrived firing into the droid company turning them into burning scrap metal a dropship landed opening its sides medics came out to treat the wounded and dez smiled relieved and thankful for the rescue a clone captain approached kalan with a salute. "Sir we are glad we found you we got word that you and the 312th are being recalled to courasant." The clone reported. "Why what about the battle here?" Kalan demanded. "General  aayla secura is going to lead the campaign here a seperatist force attacked courasant the chancellor." The clone reported kalan nodded extinguishing his lightsaber. 
He climbed on board the dropship as the wounded were loaded on board followed by dez.
The dropship took off into the air heading to kalans venator class star destroyer kalan was exhausted from months of constant fighting and through mud water and fulicas harsh weather and its surprisingly large feral rancor population.
The dropship arrived at the hangar of the star destroyer kalan got out and looked at dez. "Tell the admiral to set course to courasant i will be in my quarters if anything comes up." Kalan said. "Got it." Dez said heading toward the bridge kalan went to his quarters where he tossed his lightsaber on his workbench stripping out of his old worn out cloak and out of his flithy tunic he stepped in the shower and washed the grime and mud off him the water ran over the various scars on his back arms sides and chest mostly from blaster burns a few lightsaber injuries from fights with grievous and ventress. He felt the ship lurch as it entered hyperspace.
He got out of the shower and laid down on his bed his exhaustion finally got the most of him as he quickly drifted off to sleep.
Kalan felt cold as he floated in what felt like a pool of water he opened his eyes to see a burning ball of fire falling through the air he slowly stood up in the water he couldnt make out his surroundings only seeing the darkness around him he looked down and saw lightsabers floating in the black water he saw forms floating all around him they were bodies jedi and clone alike many of the jedi he knew some he had only seen briefly in passing he saw his former master kollak a male zabrak who had died two years ago in a battle against the seperatist shortly after kalan had been knighted. "Master what is this?" Kalan asked. "The order is broken." Kollak stated. "What do you mean?" Kalan asked confused. "The order is broken let go." Kollak said. "What do you mean broken?" Kalan asked. "Let go." Kollak repeated as shadow appeared behind him one that had a flowing black cape.
Kalan suddenly woke in his bed hearing the items of his room come crashing to the floor and hearing dez hit the floor with a audible woof as the wind was knocked out of her.
Kalan sat up in the bed concerned. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah was just coming to let you know we arrived we will be engaging in the battle soon." Dez stated rubbing her sore back side from where she had landed.
Kalan got dressed in a armored jedi tunic grabbing a fresh brown cloak and using the force to retrieve his lightsaber and hooked it to his belt he felt the ship shudder from a turbo laser impact as he got to the lift and went to the command deck walking onto the bridge he saw the chaos of the battle as the two fleets were intermixed with swarms of starfighters engaging in dog fights capital ships close enough to exchange broadsides with one another. "Notify grand master yoda we have arrived." Kalan ordered. The admiral nodded and looked to kalan. "We have a connection kenobi and skywalker are rescuing the chancellor but ground forces are having trouble against the driod advances master windu is doing what he can but master yoda wants our forces to assist in rebelling the ground forces." The admiral reported. "Alright take us in once we have deployed all ground units i want the fleet to assist the home fleet in repelling the enemy fleet!" Kalan ordered he turned to head to the hangar bay only to see count dooku standing on the bridge but no one reacted to his presence at all. "The order is broken only darkness remains." Dooku said. "What do you mean?" Kalan demanded. Dooku grabbed him by the front of his tunic. "Let go!" Dooku yelled his hands suddenly turning to smoke and a smoking line appeared at his neck his head coming detached and the vision was gone and kalan fell to one knee suddenly out of breath. Dez knelt beside him concerned. "You good kal?" Dez asked. "I'm fine.... Its nothing." Kalan said. "Who were you talking to?" Dez asked. "No one dont worry about it." Kalan said.
He got up heading to the lift going down to the hangar bay where his eta 2 starfighter he climbed inside pushing the thoughts of the force vision out of his mind keeping his focus in the now as he powered his engines up taking off into the void of space followed by the forty dropships and full fighter escort right behind him he made a straight course for coursant his astromech r80 alerted him to a swarm of driod fighters heading to intercept them. "Roadhouse skinner we have a squadron of tinnies heading for us come with me to intercept them." Kalan ordered. "Yes sir." The clone pilot reported they followed him as he headed to cut off the the droid squadron he targeted the lead fighter firing a stream of green energy bolts that caught the leading three fighters destroying the droids in a explosion the rest were destroyed by the two clone pilots they then rejoined the rest of his forces as they headed planet side kalan saw columns of droids super battle droids leading the advance with b2 battle droids backing them up while clone forces struggled to hold the line against their advance kalan performed a strafing run on the droid lines destroying hundreds of battle droids while evading anti air canon fire his fighters destroyed the AA canons losing four fighters in the process his dropships dropped off their compliment of clone troopers that reinforced the lines he turned over control of the fighter to his astromech while jumping out of the fighter landing in a crouch among his clones he drew his lightsaber seeing several other Jedi among the republic forces jedi knight gant kelo a jedi from the same world as dooku also from a noble family unlike most jedi he wore a green cloak with his houses seal as pen holding the cloak around his shoulders he also wore a fancy brown vest and stylist button up shirt and wore his family ring around one finger he also wore expensive boots his lightsaber was made of a silver metal and had a green blade standing with him was grado hawns a blond haired man from naboo he wore the standard brown jedi cloak wielding a blue blade the exact opposite of kelo between the two was mari ren a young woman native to courasant she had dark brown hair and green eyes she wielded a blue lightsaber standing alongside them was jed who wore the white cloak of the temple guard as he was in training for the position he acted as the big brother of the four jedi knights he went to join them but then felt a familiar presence and looked back to see a woman with brown hair and a light tan cloak knelt next to a wounded clone using the force to heal the wounded she was kalans sister he smiled relieved she was safe.
he then went over to the group and saw jedi padawans ty and jasmine they all greeted him with nods of recoginition as they watched the driods advancing toward them. "Screw this waiting they think they can invade our capital i say we show them the true power of the order." Gant yelled. "We were told to hold this line by master windu." Mari said. "Well if we just stand here they will march right over us." Came grado. "We were told to hold the line so lets do that by making sure they never make it to it." Kalan said igniting his green blade the others grinned igniting their own lightsabers and the seven jedi knights jumped over the barricade charging at the droids who opened fire sending a wall of blaster bolts kalan used the force to send the bolts flying back into the droid lines destroying hundreds of them gant sliced dozens of droids apart with side to side slashes utilizing his form two mari cut the heads of several using form 5 while grado deflected bolt after bolt into droids using form three jed twirled his double bladed yellow saber using form four cleaving dozens of driods apart kalan kept switching from form three to five deflecting blaster bolts and jumping and cutting down droids.
After several hours of fighting the droid army made a full retreat as kalan saw what looked like a giant fireball heading for the political district and realized it was half of general grievous's flag ship he drew his comlink. "We have a large piece of debris heading for the political district we need to get teams to intercept it try to bring it down gently!" Kalan ordered. "Crews have been dispatched its not crashing its landing general skywalker and kenobi have the chancellor on that thing." Came a clones report.  "That former slave boy just loves showing off." Gant said extinguishing his lightsaber and hooking it to his belt. "Hey we all agreed we wouldnt call him that anymore." Mari said. "What i stopped doing it to his face." Gant said. Kalan watched as the ship landed grinding to a hault without doing too much damage and kalan could feel skywalker and kenobis presence and for a brief moment he sensed something else a darkness one that was smug and satisfied with itself it vanished almost as fast as kalan detected it but it sent a chill down kalans spine.
He looked back and saw the chancellor standing among the clones but no one seemed to know he was there. "The order is broken." Palpatine said nodding his head. Dooku grabbed him from behind. "Let go!" Dooku yelled.
Kalan jumped back blade raised in a defensive posture only to realize he had nearly taken mari's head off if jed hadnt pulled her back. "Hey what in the force were you thinking mudhorn!" Gant yelled. "Sorry i thought i sensed a threat behind me i was mistaken." Kalan said extinguishing his lightsaber. "Did the force show you a vision?" Jed asked. Kalan nodded. "What was it about?" Came alice his sister. Kalan just looked down hooking his lightsaber to his belt. "It was nothing just something that caught me by surprise it wont happen again." Kalan said he headed back to his battalion to see to his own wounded.
Once the mop operations were complete destroying the left over droid units and cleaning up the leftover parts and kalans clone forces were put in charge of reinforcing what was left of the home fleet and was put under the command of jedi master arlon zey allowing kalan to return to the jedi temple which had luckily been sparred the attack he went to a chamber that was one of the many meditation chambers but had been furnished after the jedi council chamber it was a round with marble flooring seats were arranged in a circle gant alice mari jed grato ty and jasmine were all present in a seat all of them looked exhausted from the protracted battles and campaigns they had endured. "Cant believe it took a attack on courusant to bring us all home i thought i was doomed to spend the rest of my days on nul hutta." Gant complained. "It was you who bragged that your family had good relations with the hutts and so you became the jedi ambassador to the hutts." Mari said. "It didn't mean master Yoda had to take command of my forces i could have lead them to kashyyyk!" Gant said
Anakin entered the room and looked at the group. "They called all of you back did they?" Anakin asked. "Yeah it looks like we all get a chance to recover from our campaigns." Mari said. "Oh and congratulations mudhorn on your victory over that traitor dooku." Gant stated. "Its definitely a blow to the seperatist army now that dooku is dead they are left with grievous he may be a good warrior but he isnt what i would consider a good leader." Grado said. Kalan noticed a hint of discomfort in anakin at the discussion. "Take a seat and relax skywalker you deserve it." Kalan said. "Indeed dont be sorry for that traitors death he was a disgrace to the order and to his people." Gant said. "You realize sereno is still in the confederation right?" mari asked and got a sour look from the comment which did make anakin snicker a little anakin took a seat across from kalan. "Besides gant you should never be happy when someone dies dooku may have fallen but the order always holds out hope that those who fall can be redeemed." Jed said. "Yeah besides master dooku wasn't always like that." Mari said sadly. "Right you were dookus last apprentice werent you?" Gant asked. "One of them mira was the second." Mari said. "Where is she anyway?" Gant asked. "She was keeping a eye on jabba the hutt on tatooine." Mari said. "Hey ani when was the last time you made a trip back home?" Gant asked. "Leave it alone gant." Kalan said. "Hopefully we will finally end this war and maybe ahsoka will finally come back to the order anakin said. "That would be nice it was terrible what happened to her." Alice said. Anakin nodded when he recieved a beep on his communicator and he looked at his communicator. "I'm sorry i need to go." Anakin said he nodded to kalan who got up and walked him out of the room.
"I am sorry about gant you know how he can be after celebrating." Kalan said. "I learned a long time ago not to concern myself with him i doubt he ever truly believed i belonged in the order." Anakin said. "He does let his pride get the best of him on occassion but we all got use to him since we were children." Kalan said. Anakin started to walk away but kalan could feel his friends unease and wondered if it was similar to the unease he felt in himself. "Anakin if you need to talk just come find me." Kalan said. Anakin gave him a grateful nod.
In a secret location on utapau.
"You will take the seperatist council to the volcanic world of mustafar." Darth sidious ordered. "Yes my lord." General grievous stated. "Rest assured general the end of the war is within sight." Sidious stated. "But my lord with the loss of count dooku." Grievous started but he was cut off by darth sidious. "The loss of count dooku was a necessary one soon i shall have a new apprentice one far younger and far stronger." Sidious stated. "Yes my lord." Grievous said as the hologram faded and grievous looked to see a black cloaked masked man one of darth sidious's agents his wrath named zion as he had been introduced to him. "I shall handle the relocation inform the council." Zion stated. "I shall inform them." Grievous said. The masked man nodded and left grievous he went outside where a clone scout waited in a trance. "General grievous as been spotted on utapau tell the chancellor." Zion stated. "Grievous as been spotted on utapau i need to tell the chancellor." The scout repeated back to him.
Days past on courusant as kalan and the others assisted in repairs and rescue from the seperatist attack kalan checked the pulse on a body but could feel it in the force that the young man had passed already.
Master zey approached with dez in toe kalan looked at the jedi master and gave a bow of respect to him. "How can i help master?" Kalan asked. "Just some formalities i am afraid i rather not bother you while your in the middle of this but general grievous as been spotted on utapau and the council is sending master kenobi to bring him in but kenobi lost a significant number of ships in the outer rim sieges so some of your former fleet is being relegated to his forces i just need your signature on this document." Zey said offering him a data pad kalan pressed his thump to the pad providing his signature and zey nodded handing the pad to dez. "Take care of yourself kal." Dez said. "May the force be with you always." Kalan said nodding to her she smiled sadly and followed zey back to their speeder.
Allowing kalan to get back to work on searching for wounded and helping with repairs.
Ty watched as the venator class star destroyer appeared out of hyperspace bringing courasant into view he and his master had commanded the pursuit fleet chasing the retreating seperatist forces they had been gone several weeks before losing the generals trail and being recalled they arrived in time to see obi wan kenobis fleet leave to utapau.
"Hopefully the next time we get a communication from master kenobi it will be the war is over." Came his master jin nik a female ithorian who used a translator to translate her native language into basic as speaking basic with four throats was difficult to do. "You did well working alongside jasmine and the jedi knights in the battle for courasant my padawan." Jin said proudly. "Thank you master." Ty said respectfully.
They took the time to get the fleet in position to sure up the defense of courasant the chancellor wasnt taking any chances after the last attack.
"I have contacted vin kal and jasmine they have agreed to accompany us tonight master windu wants us to patrol the streets tonight to keep the peace he didn't say why." She explained. Ty looked at his clone commander auto and his second in command troy. "You two can join us." Ty said. "Yes commander." Auto stated gladly.
It took them a few hours to get the fleet into position and make perparations to head to the surface.
Kalan listened to reports coming in from the battle on utapau that was now in full swing when commander cody appeared on the holotable. "Excuse me sir but general kenobi as destroyed general grievous." Cody reported. "Thank you commander." Windu stated he then looked to kalan. "Call in the other jedi knights that were recalled i want them at the temple i will inform the chancellor of this development myself." Master windu stated. Kalan nodded his compliance and went to a communication terminal to call the others to the temple as windu walked out of the room.
Kalan went to the groups meeting room as the others arrived one by one they took a seat gant drank from a bottle of expensive wine jed meditated kalan looked out the window at the city scape not noticing his surroundings going dark and then he turned seeing master Agen Kolar standing in the door way. "The order is broken." Agen said. Master kip fisto appeared in the corner of the room. "The order is broken." Kip fisto said. Master Saesee Tiin appeared to agens left. "The order is broken." Tiin said. Kalan turned around and saw mace windu standing at the window missing his right hand. "Let go." Mace said.
The temple suddenly shook from a explosion as it shook kalan out of his vision realizing he was still looking out the window he turned with the others at hearing explosions blaster fire and screams the door opened to a squad of clones storming blasters raised they fired at the group a bolt tagged jed in the shoulder but gant and the others ignited their lightsabers and lunged into action gant cleaved a clone in half from shoulder to hip mari took the heads off two clones. Grado cut down three more while kalan cut the last clones arms off and used the force to pin him to the wall. "Those colors blue and white your with the 501st why are you attacking us?" Kalan demanded. "Because good soldiers follow orders the jedi have betrayed the republic!" The clone said. Kalan used the force to knock the clone out.
They headed out of the room seeing the main hall was a mess of chaotic fighting between the clones and jedi knights. "We need to get the younglings out alice guide them we will cover you to the hangar!" Kalan ordered alice nodded as they moved to the nearest training halls where they found a class of jedi younglings thirty kids of various species all looking terrified at the sight of their fallen master who had taken several blaster bolts to the chest. "All of you are coming with us we have to leave the temple!" Alice instructed. "We will keep you safe." Kalan assured.
The jedi knights surrounded the younglings and guided them down the corridor heading toward the hangar bay.
They opened a door seeing jedi knight sarah and battle master cin drallig fell dead at the feet of a cloaked man wielding a blue lightsaber the man turned to them and grado for a moment lost focus on the scene as he saw to all of their horror anakin skywalker. "Ani we have to get out of here the clones have turned on us." Grado said right before anakin slashed grado across the chest grado dropped his lightsaber falling backward into alices arms a shocked look on his face. Anger flashed over gants face as he ignited his lightsaber. "You sith spawning traitor you should have died on that sand ball qui gon found you on!" Gant yelled charging at anakin clashing blades with anakin mar came at anakin from the right while jed came at him from left and kalan jumped off gants back flipping behind anakin igniting his green blade slashing at anakin the same moment the others did only for anakin to blast mari and jed back with the force shoving gant back and kicking him in the chest he spun around blocking kalans strike their blades hissing and sparking as they clashed. "Why anakin why would you do this!" Kalan demanded only to be met with silence as he shoved kalan back to deflect strikes from mari from the right jed from the left and gant from behind. "Answer us ani!" Mari demanded. "We deserve to know!" Jed yelled. "Grad was your friend the idiot looked up to you!" Gant yelled. Anakin jumped clear of the four as they closed for another combination attack.
They entered a large training hall as he evaded the four jedi knights who followed him inside.
"You think your getting away!" Gant yelled. "Your not getting away with what you did!" Jed yelled. "We will take you down!" Mari yelled. "The council can decide what to do with you!" Kalan yelled. "If we take you alive!" Gant yelled.
Anakin deflected each attack from the four Jedi kalan heard Alice call for help as she deflected a storm of blaster bolts from advancing clones. "Get her!" Gant yelled to kalan who nodded running with force enhanced speed into the clones deflecting each blaster bolt back into the clones that fired them before closing the distance he cut the first clone down at the waist taking the second clones head he took the third clones arms and legs off while his friends handled anakin.
"Your good mud horn but your slowing we are wearing you down." Gant said breathing heavily himself and covered in sweat as were the other two. "You three cant imagine the power i have gained...." Anakin said. "So you can speak!" Gant said. "Anakin skywalker is no more he died in this place.... I am darth vader lord of the sith." Anakin said with a dark grin. "Vader.... So the prophecy was wrong about you mud horn." Gant said he tightened his grip on his lightsaber. "Your just like him.... Just like dooku..." Mari said tears in her eyes. "If your a sith then its our duty to bring you down!" Jed yelled.
Vader gestured for them to attack he used the force to break a pillar throwing it at the three jed used the force to knock gant and mari clear only to be struck by the pillar crushing jeds leg jed yelled out in pain. Mari charged at vader who side stepped the attack slashing her head from her shoulders. "Mari!" Gant cried as he stabbed at vader who spun around gant slashing gant across the back he then spun around slashing jeds head from his shoulder he then turned to the wounded gant stabbing the man through the neck killing him.
Kalan finished off the last of the clones in the hallway he looked at the bodies of his friends feeling his anger bubble inside him he looked to alice. "Get to the ship i will meet you there." Kalan said. "Kal!" Alice cried. "Go." Kalan said not accepting any arguments as he approached vader in the open training room. "I sense a lot of anger in you kalan." Vader said. "What you have done.... What you could do.... You need to be stopped." Kalan said. "I am doing what needs to be done to protect the greater good to save my wife this is the only way." Vader said. "We protect the republic anakin the jedi have always protected the republic you have become the very thing the order as protected the galaxy from cant you see that?!" Kalan yelled. "Kneel kalan dont make me destroy you." Vader said. "I will not kneel to tyranny even if it was someone i regarded as a friend." Kalan said. "Then you have decided your fate." Vader stated.
The two circled eachother no longer having anything more to say to eachother vader made the first move as he used the force to lift the pillar off of jeds leg throwing it at kalan who flipped over it and used the force to shove it back at vader who used the force to crush it only for kalan to charge through the dust clashing blades with anakin the two locking gazes with eachother.
Kalan saw pure hate in the eyes of his former friend and vader saw calm determination in the eyes of kalan they clashed blades over and over performing side to side vertical slashes kalan kicked vader in the gut staggering him backward slashing at the fallen jedis throat only for vader to duck backward to avoid the slash and thrust his blade at kalans gut who jumped back to avoid it vader charged at kalan who performed a series of quick strikes and slashes each one kalan deflected aside and attempted to counter with a flurry of strikes that vader deflected vader slid around kalan striking at kalans back which he deflected only for vader to kick him in the back making him stumble forward he turned to face vader who flung his lightsaber at him like a spinning disk of death kalan deflected it with a upward strike only for vader to recall his weapon and assume his fighting stance again.
"You can't beat me kalan you must know that the proof is all around us." Vader stated with a smile. "We have always come to a draw anakin this doesnt need to be where we decide that rivalry." Kalan said. "We were never rivals.... What is done is done kalan you are nothing the jedi are nothing you will soon be nothing but a body on the floor." Vader stated. "We shall see." Kalan said.
The two went at eachother again vader pressing his attack hammering strikes which kalan struggled to block vader suddenly went low to try to take kalans legs away only for kalan to block the strike by spinning his blade into vaders blade. Vaders blade caught kalans sabers emitter destroying his weapon kalan stumbled back vader grinned stabbing at kalans chest who blocked the beam with his hand using the force to block the blade and keep vader at bay even as he pressed his blade forward kalan felt his palm beginning to burn from the heat of vaders blade.
In one quick motion kalan side stepped vader knocking vaders weapon out of his grasp punching vader in the gut and sending him rolling across the ground with a spinning elbow. Vader rolled to his knees unleashing a kinetic blast at kalan who matched it with his own their power clashed between them with such energy the marble floor of the training hall cracked shattering vaders eyes turned sulfuric yellow while kalan grimaced from the effort of maintaining the stalemate unable to overwhelm vaders attack only managing to match it. The clashing energy exploded sending vader crashing against the wall while sending kalan flying out the window falling a few stories landing on a landing pad only being saved by a forming a bubble of force energy around him that took the worst of the crash he grimaced in pain as he lay on the landing pad out of breath exhausted and hurting all over he struggled to remain concious.
Alice rushed out of the door to the temple and ran to her brothers side. "Kalan are you okay?" She demanded kneeling beside. "You should be with the younglings..." Kalan grunted as he tried to get up she helped him up and as a light transport took off and headed toward the sky only for a green turbo laser beam to destroy the ship with a single shot to both their horror.
Alice suddenly gasped in pain and kalan looked back to her and saw a blue blade emerging from her chest it was yanked out of her body back to the hand that had thrown it and kalan saw vader standing in the doorway with dozens of clones flanking him alice fell forward into her brothers arms. Kalan couldnt believe his eyes his mind refused to accept what was happening. "No.... No... Alice!" Kalan cried as he held her close sobbing. "The jedi order is gone its time to end this." Vader said. Kalan glared at Vader as he backed up toward the edge of the platform. "This isnt over vader..... I will find you..... I will find you and i will kill you!" Kalan yelled falling backward still holding his sisters body they fell until they landed in a speeder that was transporting a large container of water with a open top they landed in the water he emerged from the water and pulled them out of the water and jumped off the speeder and landed on the side walk he carried her into a alley way and could feel in the force that she was gone he laid her body down and just sat next to her defeated.
Dez sat another stack of data pads on to zeys desk who nodded thanks to her when he suddenly looked troubled and then pained dez looked at the jedi master confused then looked out the window seeing flames coming from the jedi temple. "What is going on?" Dez asked absently. The doors to the office opened as four clones stormed into the room blaster rifles raised zey ignited his green blade deflecting several blaster bolts killing three of the clones with deflected bolts he then closed the distance between him and the last clone who he cut in half from head to crotch zey extinguished his lightsaber and looked to dez. "What in the force is happening?" Dez demanded. "It appears the councils worst fears have come to pass the order is being destroyed." Zey said he used the force to shatter the large viewport in the office. "I have to get out of here i might be able to save a few if i move quickly." Zey said. "Let me help you." Dez said. "I can't ask that of you commander." Zey said. "And your not now meet me down below i will pick you up in a speeder." Dez said. Zey nodded jumping out the window.
Dez walked out of the office as more clones ran past her she grabbed one by the arm. "I was nearly gunned down when four troopers tried to kill master zey what is going on?" She demanded. "Order sixty six as been activated ma'am the chancellor as ordered the destruction of all jedi." The trooper reported. Dez let the trooper go with his unit and continued on her way to the lift she drew her communicator. "Kal are you alive?" She called over the comlink. "Kalan if your still alive please answer." She pressed. Kalans voice came over the comlink sounding lost. "I'm.... I.... I am...." Kalan said. "Where are you i will come get you?" She asked. "Its gone.... D.... Their all gone.... I tried.... I did...." Kalan said. "I am aware of the situation just tell me where you are?" Dez said. "Its safer if you just stay away." Kalan said. "We have been through too much for me to abandon you now tell me where you are now." Dez said. Kalan transmitted his accordants and she rushed to the lift taking it down she rushed out to her speeder zey got in she activated her speeder and they flew off toward kalans location.
Ty walked with his master alongside jasmine and her former master vin kal with auto and troy bringing up the rear of the group it was a quiet night in level 1313 mainly because four jedi was enough to make the criminal elements of the lower levels think twice before starting trouble the last thing a criminal wanted was to lose a hand or leg to lightsaber swing or catch their own blaster bolt.
Auto stopped as his comlink chimed he activated it and a small blue hologram of Palpatine appeared. "Commander auto the time as come initiate order sixty six." Sidious ordered. "Yes my lord." Auto said out of ear shot of the jedi he and auto nodded to eachother taking aim and firing a single blaster bolt into the two jedi masters heads ending them before they could react ty and jasmine both turned at the sound of weapon fire weapons in hand and blades ignited the two clones fired their blaster rifles at the young jedi who deflected the bolts into the ground or walls ty unleashed a blast of force power sending the two troopers into the far wall they crumbled to the ground unconscious allowing ty and jasmine to check on their masters to tys dismay his master was gone he lowered his head in sorrow and felt anger boil inside him as he picked up her lightsaber looking at the weapon tears hit the smooth metal hilt jasmine put a hand on tys shoulder. "Come on we have to move the temple could be in danger." Jasmine said ty reluctantly got up and the two ran away from the scene before more clones could arrive they got to the temple and saw smoke rising from the temple heard blaster fire and the hum of lightsabers a trio of younglings ran out of the temple door ty recognized one of them as diego a youngling who he had practiced meditation exercises with. "Come over here!" Ty called only for a group of clones to follow the kids out of the temple firing on the kids killing them with several blaster bolts to the back ty watched them fall down the stairs lifeless and images of his own masters body flashed through his mind he ignited both his green blade and his masters orange blade launching himself at the clones who fired at him he deflected each bolt plunging his blades into the chest of the first two clones he decapitated the third clone slashing off the right leg of the fourth before taking half the mans head off with a single slash he kept moving his blades moving almost too fast for the eye to track the smell of scorched flesh and burning plastiod stung his eyes and throat as the world went red with rage as he just kept attacking deflecting striking hacking and slashing leaving a trail of bodies in his wake a clone fired a rocket at him and he tried to deflect it like it was a blaster bolt causing it to explode sending him flying into the far wall bringing down a section of the roof on him burying him.
Jasmine used tys distraction to get several younglings out of the temple carrying a young dark skinned girl with a stab wound in one arm and a member of yodas species in the other she got to a speeder putting them in the back of the speeder she saw ty get hit by the rocket but felt his presence in the force knowing he was alive hurt and buried but alive. She climbed into the driver seat taking off with the speeder she dropped the younglings off in several different areas the young yoda species youngling was dropped off at a safe house set up by friends of the order she dropped the wounded girl off at the hospital using all her credits to pay for the girls treatment she then turned the speeder around and headed back to the temple only to find the battle was over she saw anakin get into a speeder and fly off leaving his clones to deal with the clean up. Jasmine snuck into the temple carefully cautiously not to be seen she made her way to tys location where she still sensed him alive under the rubble she used the force to lift the rubble off him throwing the rubble into the clones that had noticed her she dragged tys broken body out of the temple and got him into her speeder piloting it away managing to avoid getting caught by the clones.
Dez flew her speeder through the lower levels of courasant the clone patrols hadn't gotten this far yet she glanced back at her passengers zey looked saddened and broken inside after hearing the news that anakin now going by the name darth vader had massacred the jedi at the temple leaving few if any survivors. Kalan was fairing far worse as he still cradled his sisters body sobbing silently she remembered the countless campaigns they had gone through together kalan had always been thankful that his sister had very little skill in lightsaber combat and was a skilled healer it kept her off the front lines and kept her safe but now she and anyone else he regarded as family was dead.
A transmission came in on the military channel she adjusted the holo projector where it would only show her and not those behind her. "This is commander dez." She answered. "Commander what is your location and do you know the status or location for master zey?" Came a clone captains position. "First off mind your tone clone second if your attack on zeys office had been run by me maybe i could have stopped his escape and thirdly i am on his trail in the industrial district now quit bothering me so i can clean up your mess." Dez said cutting the channel. "Where are we going?" Zey asked "to a friend. One who can get you off world somewhere safe." She said. "Why?" Kalan asked. "I was hoping you wouldn't need to ask." Dez said almost sounding hurt by the question.
They got to a landing pad that had a naboo transport that looked to have been slapped together out of spare parts she landed the speeder on the pad and gestured for the two jedi to wait inside the speeder. She got out and started walking toward the door of the garage connected to the landing pad she stopped when she saw a b1 battle droid walk out blaster rifle raised a serving dish with drinks on the top of it as it aimed its weapon at her. The droid let out a wookiee roar that was full of static followed a string of hut curse words ending with a tusken raider call. "I'm sorry i dont speak any of those languages do you know rodian or basic?" She asked. The droid started cycling through selkath curse words huttese wedding purposals and reciting jawa rap lyrics. "Is fitz in?" She demanded only to get a twe'lek lullaby sang at her in the tone of a tusken. Dez rolled her eyes drawing her blaster pistol she fired a single shot into the droids chest destroying it causing a old blue skin arkanian to come out shaking his arms in anger yelling no. "You destroyified its unrepairable!" Fitz yelled he was a scrawny old man with a white beard half braided he wore a leather pilots helmet and goggles and had his underpants on the outside of his pants and wore a boot on his left foot and a sandal on his right while wearing a red scarf around his neck. "I can remake it and it will be a her!" Fitz declared. "Fitz!" Dez yelled snapping her fingers fitz looked at her as if he hadnt noticed her before and tilted his head to the side. "Mori!" Fitz yelled in joy. "Its been too soon why wait any longer!" Fitz greeted as he jogged up hugging her he grabbed her butt and got slapped across the face. "I need your help i need you to get my friends off courasant and to a safe place." Dez said. "I cant already doing it for not friends and only got so much room so hop on and we will not be on the way but the correct path." Fitz said. Dez looked confused as she tried to decipher fitz strange way of speaking. "So you will help us?" Dez asked. "I will not not help you so jolly good then lets get to crashin." Fitz laughed as he went aboard his ship dez gestured for the others to get out of the speeder and get on the ship.
They got on to the ship dez ran to the controls and powered up the ship kalan saw ty floating in a bacta tank as jasmine sat in a meditation position he could feel her channeling her power into ty sustaining his life while the bacta did its work healing his injuries he carried alices wrapped body to the back laying her down on a steel crate as the ship took off. Zey entered the cargo hold as kalan took alices lightsaber and clipped onto his own belt to replace his lost weapon. "I am truly sorry for your loss." Zey said. "Not now." Kalan said. "I mourned for your master when they died it was truly a tragedy but i imagine this is quite a sharper pain for you." Zey said. "I said not now!" Kalan said turning on zey fury in his eyes. "Don't let your grief and anger consume you or you'll be no better than the one who took her from you." Zey said. "I will find vader and i will kill him." Kalan declared. "Revenge is not the jedi way i am begging you to take the time to grieve but dont get devoured by it." Zey said. Kalan gave him a disgusted look. "Why did anakin fall he was suppose to be the chosen one so why didnt the order do more how could you let the best of us turn like that!" Kalan yelled. "He is a failure the councils failure the orders failure kenobis failure and its one that may have cost us everything the sith were cunning ruthless and efficient jedi all over the galaxy are being slaughtered by clones we have spent years fighting alongside." Zey said kalan looked down at the deck at the thought of that fact. "So trust me young one i know very well the pain you feel i lost my brothers and sisters today to." Zey said putting a hand on kalans shoulder the ship suddenly rocked as something struck the rear deflector shields they ran to the front of the ship to the cockpit where dez was evading turbo laser fire from the endeavor kalans old flag ship. "Attention unregistered vessel there is a flight restriction in place transmit your transponder codes immediately or be destroyed." Admiral corvis declared. "Corvis you idiot its me commander moria dez!" Dez yelled over the comm channel the turbo laser fire stopped. "Explain what your doing in that thing?" Corvis demanded. "Probably committing treason and i feel bad about it but it as to be done!" Dez said as she engaged the ships hyberdrive but they didn't go to hyperspace instead cup of tea was made and fitz walked over and picked it up and sipped it. "You got to be kidding me." Dez yelled. "Commander your under arrest power down your ship and perpare to be boarded." Corvis ordered. Fits pressed a red button next to the tea brewer and the ship suddenly launched into hyperspace.
Meanwhile in the chancellors office vader knelt before his master head lowered. "You have done well my new apprentice now lord vader you must go bring order to the galaxy." Sidious ordered. "Yes my master." Darth vader stated he stood up and walked out of the office sidious activated a comm channel that brought a hologram of a black cloaked man with a mask covering the lower half of his face. "Now my servant zion go to the desert world of tatooine jedi survivors have fled to that system track them down and destroy them." Sidious ordered. "It shall be done my master." Zion said with a nod he then shut off the holoprojector.
Kalan stood on a dark world it was cold he stood in knee high water and saw hundred of bodies with lightsabers floating around him kalan looked at the bodies in sadness and grief gant stood his head barely connected to his neck a angry vengful look in his eyes. "The order is broken." Gant said. Mari stood up looking at him with eyes of sadness. "the order is broken...." Mari said. Jed stood up looking resentful at him. "All that is left is darkness." Jed said. Grado stood up looking at him with a look of blame. "Let go." Grado said. "I'm sorry." Kalan said. Mace windu rose out of the water. "The order is broken." Windu said kit fisto rose. "The order is broken." Kit said. Plo koon emerged. "The order is broken." Plo koon said. Kalan fell to his knees in the water lowering his head in failure. "Let go!" All of them hundreds of voices yelled at him. "Enough!" Kalan yelled unleashing a blast of force energy that sent a short through the ship bringing them out of hyperspace. "What in the name of force is happening back there!" Dez demanded. "Nothing we are fine!" Zey yelled back looking at kalan who was drenched in sweat breathing heavily. "How long have you been having visions?" Zey asked. "A few months it didnt make sense before but now i think i understand." Kalan said. "And?" Zey asked. "The order is dead." Kalan said getting up and walking away to see if he could fix whatever he had inadvertently broken.
He got to the cockpit and saw dez running diagnostics. "It was like that time on the endeavor when you made me float in your sleep?" Dez asked. "What did i break?" Kalan asked. "Mind body and spirit!" Fitz yelled from inside the wiring of the ship. "We exited near tatooine i am bringing us to land in the dune sea." Dez said. "Can we fix the ship." Kalan asked. "It will take time and parts so we will be here for a little while." Dez said bringing the ship in for a landing. "Jedi knight mira is on this world we should check to see if she is safe?" Jasmine said. Kalan noticed ty now out of the bacta tank and getting dressed. "We will. We need to split up into teams one team searches for parts the other for mira." Kalan said. "I will work with fitz to fix the ship. "You take campanion yes very useless will help." Fitz yelled crawling out of the wires he opened a closet to a rust orange colored droid it looked like a old protocol droid. Fitz reactivated the droid its red photoreceptors activated. "Statement:Assassin droid hk-47  reactivated. Introduction:i am a protocol assassin droid skilled in both verbal and aggressive negoations specializing in termination of both organic meatbags and other inferior droids. Query: which of you meatbags are my master?" HK-47 asked. "An assassin droid?" Kalan asked. "No life ending machine will help very useless." Fitz said. Hk-47 looked at fits titling its head to the side. "Confused statement: master i believe this meatbag needs to be rebooted its personlity matrix seems to be scrambled." Hk said. "scrambled like over easy eggs rotten and poached!" Fitz laughed. "Nervous request: master may i blast this meatbag?" Hk asked. "He is your master." Dez stated. Hk leaned back in surprise looking around. "Panicked inqury:would any of you functioning meatbags wish to purchase a perfectly functional assassination protocol droid?" Hk asked. "You will lead his follow achieve all his request demands." Fitz said slapping kalans back. "Confused conclusion: i believe he just made you my master may i blast this meatbag now master?" Hk asked. "No and you dont need a blaster." Kalan said. "Surprised statement: i understand master you would like me to employ one of the three thousand martial arts forms that i have programmed. Proud statement: i am also quite efficient with a vibro knife and have a large knowledge of poisons and toxins." Hk said. "You will not harm anyone unless ordered to infact i am ordering you not to mention your assassination protocols at all you are to function as a normal protocol droid." Kalan ordered. "Saddened resignation: yes master as you wish i shall simply talk any hostile meatbags into submission." Hk said.
Kalan and hk went looking for parts for the ship while jasmine and ty went looking for mira while zey stayed behind to guard the ship from sand people attacks he could also use the force to calm the sarlacc that they had landed close to.
Kalan and the others arrived at mos espa where they saw beings from every corner of the galaxy all of them most likely bounty hunters smugglers and criminals they headed for the parts dealer where he browsed a stack of parts he showed the jawa a list of what they were needing and the jawas brought all the parts they needed kalan drew a green crystal the stone from his old lightsaber offered it as payment the jawas fascinated by the stone took it eagerly the stone had been damaged when vader had destroyed his lightsaber making the crystal unusable for another lightsaber.
The jawas were mesmerized by the crystal he looked at the jawas. "Take the parts to the east dune sea." Kalan said. The lead jawa nodded. "Ask them about the jedi." Kalan ordered hk. "Annoyed inquiry:jawa." Hk said. The jawa nodded and rambled something in their language. "Statement: master the tiny meatbag says that jabba the hutt as taken ownership of the jedi that had been watching him he captured her some days ago and as had her in the gladiator pits fighting for his amusement she is expected to die any day now. Amused statement: master i recommend we purchase tickets." Hk said. "Tell them thanks."  Kalan said turning and walking out he drew his comlink calling the others. "We found out where mira is she is in the gladiator arena." Kalan stated. "Find a holoscreen." Jasmine stated. Kalan looked at a screen waving his hand turning it on showing a broadcast of the senate speech and kalan could clearly see the affects the dark side of the force had on him.
