Zion sat in the large ruins of a building in a meditative stance his lightsaber laying in front of him the jedi ross was laying on the ground being put through mental torture as the creature attached to his body feed on his fears and pain it would turn him into a beacon for the jedi and if their activities in the past year was any indication they would come for either the Jedi knight or the younglings that had been discovered in the ruins alpha approached him putting a hand on his shoulder. "Jedi have been spotted landing in the city outskirts." Alpha reported. "Is he among them?" Zion asked. "No but he may come for them if we take them." Alpha said. "Send the jedi hunters driods let me know when he arrives." Zion said. "And if he doesnt show?" Alpha asked. "Then we will get the information on his whereabouts from one of the jedi that arrived." Zion said. Alpha nodded. "I will ensure one remains alive." Alpha said. Suddenly five lightsabers snapped to life from the floor above them. "I dont think our lives are something you need to worry about." Mira said jumping down to face them only for the two to vanish and her eyes widened as she saw the illusion fall away revealing the jedi hunter driods approaching some raising their arm blasters others igniting crimson blades from their hands but there were several more than she thought even existed. The others jumped down to help her. "They forsaw our plan." Brox said holding his blue blade in a form three stance The jh battle droids opened fire with their wrist blasters sending a storm of bolts that the five jedi worked together to deflect kuri evaded a missile fired at her jumping with a force ampilified jump landing behind a droid she slashed off its head and then slashed off its knee joints before sending the parts flying into another droid with such force it destroyed both. Only for a third driod to back hand her across the battlefield vale sent rubble flying into the droids destroying six of them. "We need to get to ross!" Mira yelled as brox helped kuri up who had blood flowing from her broken jaw. "We need to get out of here period!" Brox yelled fear clear in his voice as he saw the droids had cut them off from the exit by forming a firing line which luk was defending against his two double bladed lightsabers spinning in a wall of light deflecting all that came at him but brox could sense the basilisk was quickly burning out a dozen blaster bolts got past his blades hitting him in the chest and gut he collapsed to the ground hurt but alive for now vale took over defending his prone form while mira went to ross who had the creature still attached she slashed the tentacles off but in the process the creature fired a poison stinger into the mans heart to miras horror as she pulled the beast off her friend slashing it in half she knelt at his side and leaned forward as he told her where the younglings were.
The driods advanced on their position only for hundreds of boulders and tiny stones to rain down on the driods tearing through them while forming a barrier between the jedi knights and the droids she looked seeing kalan arriving in the ruins with the masters right behind him he used the force to pull kuris fallen lightsaber to his hand igniting both her blue blades and his own white blade he charged into the remaining droids moving with such speed and grace it was something she hadnt seen since the last time she saw anakin skywalker in battle he cleaved the remaining droids down and saw the four hunters standing past the wreckage as the masters came to back kalan up. "You white blade he is waiting up stairs with the younglings." Alpha said. "They will be coming with us." Kalan said. "That is between you and him." Alpha said. Mira used the force to propel herself over the four hunters who made no move to stop her kalan looked to the masters who nodded. "We will handle them you go get her and the younglings if possible." Zey said. Kalan nodded extinguishing his lightsabers he tossed kuris back to zey who cliped it to the wounded jedis belt. Kalan walked past the four hunters and went up stairs.
He entered a large round room and saw the younglings scattered across the room all cut down Mira sat on her knees tears running down her face. "Their gone...." Mira cried. Kalan put a hand on her shoulder fighting his own grief over the loss memories of the younglings shuttle exploding in the night sky of courasant and his sister dying in his arms all of it was trying to flood to the surface. "Mira go back to the others." Kalan said as softly as he could. "No... There could be more their could be some left...." Mira said. Kalan gave her shoulder a squeeze. "No.... Theres not." Kalan said.
The dead youngling at miras feet got up and looked at kalan he saw the others start to stand. "The order is broken." The child said. "Its broken." Came a tiny twe'lek child. "Only darkness remains." Came a duros child. "Let go!" Mira cried and he realized he was sequeezing her shoulder hard he let go of her she rubbed her sore shoulder. "Whats wrong kalan?" She asked. "Please go back to the others." He said continuing out of the chamber up the stairs he got to the top and saw zion the same dark sider he had fought to a standstill on tatooine. "You killed children or was that your hunters?" Kalan asked. Zion looked disgusted at the accusation and nodded to behind kalan who heard the heavy machanical breathing he turned and saw the black cape the black skelatal respirator mask and helmet and he felt the over bearing presence it was different than that day but he could tell that this thing in front of him was darth vader anakin Skywalker.
"Anakin." Kalan said. "That name holds no meaning for me anymore." Came the deep voice of vader. Kalan back flipped over zion putting both dark siders in front of him. "There will be no running this time." Vader said zion looked at vader. "Would you like me to deal with this jedi?" Zion asked. "No this one i will deal with personally." Vader said. Zion nodded and walked back to the doorway. "This wasnt a trap for the jedi... You wanted me?" Kalan asked. "You are nothing as you were then and are now and The jedi are no more what remains will be tracked down and destroyed you only prolong the inevitable." Vader said. Kalan saw the memories of his friends dying at vaders hands the younglings shuttle exploding his sister dying in his arms and he felt his anger boil up inside.
"You are nothing the same as your sister and you will die just as pathetically as she had." Vader said. Kalan exploded into action igniting his lightsaber coming down with a feral downward slash vader caught kalans blade with the force shoving it side sending the pommel of his lightsaber into kalans gut knocking him backward knocking the air out of him he coughed falling to his hands and knees throwing up.
"Now you will die." Vader said igniting his crimson lightsaber advancing toward kalan who recalled his blade to his hand getting to his feet he wiped his mouth. "They werent nothing to me." Kalan growled before charging at vader their blades clashed with a hiss and crackle of sparks kalan found himself on the defensive as each of vaders blows came in like a power hammer each blow nearly making his knees buckle but kalans rage and fury kept him in the fight as he evaded a over head strike slashing at vaders left side only for vader to side step it and perform a upward slash that kalan jumped away from resuming a guard breathing and sweating heavily.
He charged at vader unleashing a barrage of attacks which vader deflected each strike they circled eachother vaders rhythmic breathing was the only sound in kalans ears. "Look at you look what you have become... Anakin Skywalker was the best of us." Kalan said. "I am more powerful than any jedi and i shall be the end of you just as i was for your sister!" Vader declared.
They clashed blades over and over each time kalan was forced back a step he spun around behind vader slashing at his back only for vader to deflect the strike and send a back hand connecting to his jaw sending him flying backward hitting the ground hard on his back and filling his mouth with blood Vader approached and sent a metal foot into kalans ribs sending him sliding across the ground coughing and gasping for air as he struggled to get to his feet spitting blood on the ground. "After your threat to destroy me i expected better you disappoint me your hate and anger is strong but you resist it and it makes you weak." Vader said.
The four masters faced the hunters dalia ignited her twin blue lightsabers as beta drew her swords vorshe ignited his green blade as omega readied his axes. Korru ignited his double bladed yellow lightsaber as gamma raised his mace zey ignited his green lightsaber. "The one who tells us where the jedi are will survive." Alpha said. "Then we have already run out of things to say." Zey said. Alpha nodded. "As you wish jeedai." Alpha said gripping his baskar spear the hunters and jedi masters charged at eachother beta blocked delias opening strikes as kurro was forced to dodge gammas heavy swings vorshe deflected omegas axes to the sides using the force to shove the hunter backward. Zey slashed at alpha who deflected each attack with his spear only for zey to deliver a spinning kick to alphas helmet staggering him backward.
Kalan and vader circled eachother slowly as they readied for their next round kalan suddenly felt a sharp pain through the force and he stopped in his tracks as he sensed master delias pain as beta got past her guard running her through the gut her pain was clear in the force as if kalan himself had suffered the wound even as beta took the masters head with a single stroke. Kalan shook his head as he sensed kurro get overwhelmed by gamma who broke the jedi masters lightsaber with his mace striking the jedi master in the gut doubling him over right before extending spikes from the ball of the mace and bringing it crashing down on the mans skull. Omega caught vorshe in the knee and then brought his second axe down on his skull ending his life.
"You feel it now the jedi order is dead the last embers of them are burning out you have failed and you will die." Vader said. "No!" Kalan yelled as he launched into a feral and savage onslaught of attacks all of which vader blocked or deflected before sending crates flying at him with the force kalan slashed three of the crates in half only to be struck by one in the shoulder and another  caught him in the knee sending him to the ground vader used the force to shatter several transparasteel windows showering the ground between them in broken jagged shards.
Zey dodged several thrust and swings from alphas spear slashing the warrior across the chest only for the blade to fail to penetrate baskar zey was suddenly swept off his feet by a sweeping strike from alpha who plunged his spear into zeys right shoulder zey cried out in pain. "Where are the remaining jedi!" Alpha demanded only for zey to use the force to knock him back as zey got up pulling the spear from his shoulder flinging it away out of the chamber they were fighting in he then reignited his green blade. "As i said we have nothing to talk about." Zey said. Alpha fired hundreds of razor darts from his left gauntlet which zey evaded expertly only for the darts to explode behind him knocking him forward alpha delivered a powerful punch to zeys face sending him crashing to the ground zey rolled to his feet slashing at alpha cleaving a section of thigh muscle off his left thigh alpha responded with a blast of flames from his right wrist zey jumped away wincing as his left arm and shoulder were badly burned alpha struggled to walk with his injured leg but he drew two vibroknives from sheaths at his sides. Zey gripped his weapon in his good hand ready for the next round knowing even if he killed alpha three more hunters eagerly waited for their turn.
Vader reached out with the force grabbing kalan and dragging the wounded jedi across the ground across the field of jagged glass kalan cried out in agony as the jagged shards cut into his back tearing through his tunic vader lifted him off the ground blood dripping from his shredded back before flipping kalan over and slamming him back down onto the glass and dragging him through it a second time.
Zey slashed at alpha who blocked his strikes with his baskar guantlets only for zey to kick him in his hurt thigh only to get a vibro knife stabbed into his right leg zey answered the stab with a spinning slash severing three fingers from alphas left hand alpha spun around slashing zey across the chest the jedi master answered with series of strikes to alphas helmet the last strike penetrating alphas visor alpha felt the blade catch him in the right eye and the smell of burned flesh filled his nostrils he answered the loss of his eye by slashing zey across the face taking both the jedi masters eyes he then rammed his blade into the jedi masters gut pulling it out zey dropped his lightsaber falling to his knees. "Where are the remaining jedi?" Alpha asked. "I.... Have.... Nothing... To... Say...." Zey said weakly. "Then you will die." Alpha said putting the knife to zeys throat. "I will become one with the force.... And live on in it." Zey said. "So be it." Alpha said before slitting zeys throat killing him.
Kalan lay on the ground beaten covered in cuts and bleeding from numerous wounds vader slowly approached kalan struggled to stand up vader slashed at kalan who barely managed to block the strike vader rained down more strikes until he caught kalan at the wrist severing his right hand kalan cried out in agony at the loss of his hand falling to his knees vader raised his blade for the finishing stroke only for mira to catch the strike on her own blade kalan looked at her in disbelieve before zelan grabbed him carefully and pulled him aboard the shuttle that the jedi masters had used to get to the planet mira went to retrieve kalans fallen lightsaber only for it to go flying into the waiting hand of zion who looked at his former weapon and nodded to it. "I will be taking this back." Zion said. Vader delivered a powerful strike that disarmed mira vader then flung her out of the way with the force but the shuttle flew away vanishing into the cloudy sky. Vader turned and went to finish mira off only for zion to ignite his white blade catching vaders on it. "My apologies lord vader but i need this one alive." Zion said. Vader extinguished his blade. "Very well get the information you seek from her and then eliminate her once you have learned the jedis location bring it to me and i will deal with it personally." Vader said storming off.
Zelan and the surviving jedi knights looked at the beaten and bloody kalan they quickly got him into a bacta tank to help treat his wounds medical droids carefully picked pieces of glass out of his body cleaning the wounds with a disinfectant to prevent infection.
