taehyun

tae went to school monday morning with only one goal in mind: apologise to doyeon before soobin gets up the nerve to tell her how he feels. he saw doyeon leaned up against a wall talking to one of the baseball players. he shook off his immediate jealousy and made his way toward the pair.

"dye. can i talk to you?" tae asked. doyeon looked at him then. she looked fierce. her eyes were blazing, her shoulders stiff, and the smile previously set on her face completely disappeared.

"can't you see that i'm busy?" she replied. taehyun looked down at his shoes, then back into her eyes.

"it'll only take a minute, dye. please."

"i'll, uh, talk to you later, doyeon." the baseball player, mike, said. he walked away quickly, obviously trying to avoid the awkward situation. tae was only slightly jealous that he could do that.

it was quiet for a few minutes. tae was suddenly extremely shy. he looked down at his shoes, then back up at the girl in front of him. he didn't want to lose her.

"doyeon... i'm sorry. it's like i'm stuck in this horrible habit of trying to forget how upset i am by using girls. and i am so sorry. i have no excuse. no reason for you to forgive me. only that i promise that i will do everything i can to break that habit. i never wanted to hurt you."

he didn't realise that he had taken one of her hands in his, but he didn't want to let go. he stared pleadingly into her eyes. he noticed the adorable little smile that crept slowly onto her face. he couldn't believe how easy it was for this girl to make his heart flutter.

"i will always believe in second chances." she replied.

tae didn't even try to hold back the grin that took over his face.

"that's because you're a literal angel that was sent down here to light up the world."

tae didn't get to say anything else because all of a sudden, doyeon closed the distance between them. her lips were on his in the sweetest kiss he had ever experienced. he didn't need time to react, it was immediate. he brought his hands to her body: one at her waist, one on the side of her neck. he smiled into the kiss when her arms went around his neck and pulled him closer. it was slow and sweet and tae had never felt anything like it.

doyeon pulled away first. tae attempted to close the distance again, but doyeon giggled and separated them again.

"people can see." she whispered.

"good. everyone should know that you're my girl." tae answered.

when doyeon rolled her eyes, tae's smile only grew.

"you're so possessive." she joked.

"only with you." tae began, suddenly serious. "because you mean the world to me and i'm unworthy of how perfect you are."

"perfection doesn't exist in humans."

"think again."

doyeon grabbed his hands. she looked at them for minute. tae would kill to know exactly what she was thinking.

"i have to go to class, tae." she said. a small smile played on her kissable lips, almost like she wanted tae to ask her to skip. he would try.

"come on, angel. stay with me. we can go het chick fil a or to that bookstore that you like. i'll buy you as many books as you want." he pleaded.

"maybe some other day. i can't miss ap us history. but i'll see you before practice?" she asked.

"yeah of course. maybe i can watch you practice for a bit." tae flirted. he couldn't help but think about her, sweaty and high-fiving her teammates after scoring a goal. he felt his whole body get hot and knew he had to walk away before he couldn't hold himself back from her.
