doyeon
god knows what came to doyeon when she demanded that soobin came with her to go black friday shopping.
she wasn't one to enjoy shopping in crowded stores while people pushed from all sides.
but the thought of spending the entire night with soobin made her forget about the negatives.
something about the thought of the night covering all their mistakes and secrets and imperfections made her excited to be out with him. despite her big words, she couldn't stay away from him for too long.
"so, where should we go now?" he asked her.
it was almost two thirty in the morning, and even though she was exhausted, she didn't want to go home.
"i don't know? target?" she replied.
she knew that her eyes lit up by the way one side of soobin's mouth quirked up in amusement. his eyes showed true joy that emanated from him ever since she told him she'd give him a second chance.
"of course. where else would you want to go?" he teased.
"stop teasing!" she laughed.
she ignored the obvious stares from several jealous girls, just as she knew that he was doing when guys looked her way. nothing about this night would ruin how perfect it was.
they arrived at target before three a.m., and it was crazy packed, despite how early it opened this year. doyeon grabbed his hand to avoid losing him in the crazy masses.
he obviously hesitated at first, but his hand tightened around hers. she saw the unabashed smile on his face when she turned her head toward him. he tried to hide it when he caught her looking, but she saw right through it.
"weirdo." she joked.
"tease." he smiled.
she pulled him along through the aisles, stopping every oner in a while to admire a cute sweater or a book she thought was interesting. to doyeon's pleasure, soobin never once complained. he just trotted along after her during her fun.
it was four in the morning when they finally called it a night, or, doyeon guessed, a morning.
she didn't want to go home, but she couldn't function any longer.
soobin dropped her off at her house fifteen minutes layer, hot chocolate from starbucks in their hands and smiles on their faces.
"i had a good time with you tonight." he broke the wall of awkward ice around them.
"i did too." she admitted.
"i'm... sorry. for leaving you after that night. i just want you to know that it meant everything to me. that night changed my world. i never knew it could be like that. so, so..." he trailed off, unable to find a word good enough.
"perfect?" she asked. that's how she saw it, even after what he did when he pushed her away.
"yes. and loving. i just wanted to make sure you were okay and- and that you knew how much i... i adore you. because i do."
her heart skipped a beat. she was seriously worried that she would have a heart attack if he said one more sweet word to her.
"soob..."
"i will never make that mistake again. i've been miserable without you. you're my everything." he told her.
"i just... i can't-" her voice broke.
she wanted to forgive him, but her trust was so hard to gain and almost impossible when it was broken. she was so messed up.
he was so good to her, holding her when the tears became difficult to hold back.
