Chapter 7

Abhimanyu

Abhimanyu tightens his fist and walks away, leaving Trisha completely shocked...

His eyes are still focussed on Akshara, who is dancing with Chirag but is looking at him.

Abhimanyu keeps staring at her, anger pouring from his body...

Just then, Akshara's steps falter but before she can fall, Chirag holds her tightly by the waist and Abhimanyu snaps.

He walks towards Akshara in quick steps and pulls her by the arm, towards him.

By the sheer force of his pull, he comes banging into his chest...

"I'll take it from here" He stares at Chirag.

"Hey man, how are you? You were busy dancing so I thought of talking to your secretary"

"Yeah, I could see that" Abhimanyu mutters under his breath.

"Come, I'll help you take Akshara to the couch" Chirag looks at Akshara who is in turn, looking at Abhimanyu in confusion.

"No thanks, we're leaving anyway. And since she's MY responsibility, I'll take care of everything" Without another glance, Abhimanyu takes Akshara's hand and walks away from the party.

The entire car ride is spent in absolute silence.

While Abhimanyu is still angry beyond control, Akshara falls asleep mid-way.

When the driver stops in front of the hotel, Abhimanyu tries to wake Akshara up, but when she doesn't respond, he carries her to her room.

As Abhimanyu lays her down on the bed, he watches her innocent face as she sleeps like a baby...

But the very next minute, her images with Chirag flood his thoughts and he leaves her room...

Akshara's alarm wakes her up the next morning and that's when the previous night comes rushing back to her...

Oh God! What did I do?

Well, I didn't do a crime, now did I?

I mean dancing with Chirag, what was I even thinking?

And why was Abhimanyu sir so angry?

Oh shit, I'm getting late.

As she reaches the diner for breakfast, she notices Abhimanyu already seated there and he is talking to someone...

As she gets closer, she realises that it's none other than Chirag!

"Oh, hey, Good morning Akshara" Chirag greets her.

"Good morning, Mr. Shekhawat" she says, embarrassed.

"Oh come on Akshara, we're past the formalities now" Chirag smiles. "Isn't it a lovely co-incidence that I too am staying in this hotel?"

Akshara nods dimly.

"Ms. Goenka, we'll be leaving for the final board meeting in 10 minutes" Abhimanyu says and walks away with Chirag.

Why is he behaving like that?

I mean he was the one who went running to that Trisha, wasn't he?

Akshara just has a cup of coffee and leaves to join them both.
