Chapter 12

Akshara

"I love you Akshara"

Akshara tosses and turns the entire night, with these 4 words replaying in her mind.

Finally, she decides to get up, no more able to sleep. 

She takes a sneak-peak into Ayaan's room and finds both her boys peacefully asleep.

Look at this man!

It's because of him that I didn't sleep the entire night, and here he is snoring away to glory!

Abhimanyu

As the sun rays hit his face, Abhimanyu's eyes flutter open...

Just as he is about to call his housekeeper for coffee, he realises that he is not in his penthouse.

He turns around to find Ayaan sleeping next to him and the reality hits him.

He's in Akshara's home!

He quickly stumbles and gets up and makes his way outside when he hears Akshara humming...

He quietly walks up to the kitchen and stands near the pillar, watching Akshara as she prepares tea.

She is dressed up in a cute-cartoon themed night suit and her hair is tied up in a messy bun, with a few strands falling on her face.

It takes a lot of control for him to not go to her and tuck those loose strands behind her ear.

"Ahm" he tries to gain her attention but the sudden interruption shocks her and she almost loses her balance but Abhimanyu runs and holds her hand before it happens.

"I'm sorry Akshara, I didn't mean to scare you" he says nervously.

She looks at him, his hair all messed up from sleep, his eyes finally indicating that he slept well and his nervous smile as he apologises. 

"And I'm also sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep, I just-" he lowers his eyes.

"Come sit, the tea is ready" she says in response, unsure of how she felt with Abhimanyu staying at their place

"I really think I should go" Abhimanyu says "thanks for letting me stay" and he picks up his wallet and keys and walks away...

As Akshara watches him go, her heart screams and tells her to make him stay but the words just don't come out of her mouth...

The next three days pass in blur as Akshara and her mother take alternate turns to stay at the hospital with Akshara covering the major hours of the night.

Even though she thought there's a chance she may not see Abhimanyu after he walked off that day, she found him freshly showered, waiting at the hospital when she reached. 

And the same happened for the three days that had passed by...

Abhimanyu stayed with her, not talking much, but offering her help every way possible.

He ran to fetch medicines when the nurse asked for it, he made sure that Akshara's family had proper food while they were at the hospital and he was in constant touch with the doctor taking regular updates about her father's health. 

At nights, she saw him sitting in the hospital corridor, working on his laptop and she realised that he had left his entire business back at home to be here for her! 

So while he worked at nights, she made sure she regularly fetched him a cup of coffee every two hours. 

Her emotions were overflowing and anybody could see that from her face.
