Chapter 5

-Y/n pov-

"We could go out tonight...maybe a movie?" Braxton suggested
"Perfect, we can decide what time in first period" I grab his hand and we walk to our first class together receiving multiple death glares from upset and shocked girls

"Well what about a scary movie, I heard the new scream is supposed to be good"
"I'm fine with anything as long as we have snacks I'm set" I smile
"Ok I'll pick you up around 8 deal?" Braxton sets a reminder in his phone
"Alright sounds good see you at lunch"

As I'm walking to my next class I'm pulled away into a corner
"Didnt I tell you to stay away from Braxton?" Luis said looking in my eyes as he pinned my arms down to my side
"You have no right to talk to me like that first of all and second of all it's none of your fucking business who i talk to so let me go" I struggle to get out of his grip
"Just...please don't get hurt" he quietly said letting go of my arms walking away jaw clenched

"What the actual hell was that about" I whisper to myself as I continue to walk to my next class
I find another seat in the back of the class and set my stuff down
I put my headphones in not caring about this class, but I couldn't even do that because all that was on my mind what Luis...what a bipolar prick. I lay my head down drowning out whatever everyone else was doing
I'm woken up by someone tapping on my shoulder "y/n class ended 5 minutes ago" a girl I had never spoken to before said
"Oh uhm thanks" I awkwardly collect my things and rush out to find Emma by my locker which I assume is because she is waiting for me
"Emma you won't believe what just happened" I grab her arm and pull her into the bathroom
"Slow down y/n what happened"
"I was walking to second period when  Luis pulled me to a corner and he was angry..." I pause remembering the moment
"He was angry because I was still talking to Braxton"
"Well that's good! isn't that the plan?" Emma smiled confused "it is but it's what he said after that..." he seemed genuinely upset "well go on what did he say" Emma said impatient
"He said, don't get hurt" I look up "what the heck does he mean?! He can't make up his mind I swear" I shake my head at turn to the mirror

"Well that's...weird I wonder what he meant" Emma said sitting on the sink
"It's like one moment he's angry and won't even look at me and the next he's worried, I just don't know what to do anymore" I splash water on my face to clear my mind
"Well let's just continue with you and Braxton and see what happens" I look at Emma and smile
"You always know what to do" we both walk out "oh and hey me and Braxton have a 'date' to the movies tonight" "girl! Why didn't you start off with that" I roll my eyes and we walk to our next class "wait what did I say wrong" she followed

—lunch—

"God I'm starving I need something to eat or i might just die" Jamie complains
"When are you not hungry" Emma laughs at her own remark "hey you aren't nice" Jamie rolled his eyes

I see Braxton walking down the hall on his phone "Braxton! Come sit with us" I shout
He looked up and smiled
"So Braxton I hear you and y/n are going out tonight" Emma wiggles her eyebrows
"Yeah we still have to discuss it but hopefully it works out" Braxton takes a seat next to me

"Y/n look behind you"  Emma whispered
I turn around to find Mindy and her little bitch gang staring at our table
"What is up with them?" Jamie asked looking away from them
"I don't know and I could honestly care less about them they are so pathetic it makes me want to feel bad...but I don't" I shrug Braxton smiles and grabs my hand, I look up at him but he was just casually making conversation with Jamie so I shrug it off and eat my lunch
