Chapter 19

"So where are we going?" I ask looking over at Luis
"For someone who wanted a surprise, you aren't very patient" he chuckled

"Well...I said fast food and it suddenly turned into 'wear something nice' so I think I deserve to know where your taking me at the very least.." I laugh a little

"You'll just have to be patient cause I'm not telling you." He smirked his annoying smirk
"Whatever" I slouch in my seat "and stop smirking. You look like an imbecile" I try throwing a insult at him

He simply laughed in my face in return "someone is suddenly in a mood" he snickered

"Oh whatever" I throw my head back and look out the window

Not too long after we pulled up to a big restaurant with bright lights lighting up the outside area around
The name had to have been in a different language because I couldn't make out what it said.

Luis walked around and opened the passenger door for me offering his hand for me to hold onto, which I gave a quick high five like smack (I knew he'd glare at me for that) "I can handle myself just fine thanks" I smile in my own pride as we walked to the entrance.

"Oh yeah sure you can" he snaked an arm around my waist giving it a slight tug.
I tried to wiggle out of his grip but he wasn't letting go "stop struggling princess...I'll only grip tighter" he tugged me in more.
"I'm going to sla-"
"Welcome in, a name for the reservation please" a hostess appeared at the front check in desk cutting my threat off

"Luis Mendoza." He once again smirked knowing I was a little embarrassed being caught mid threat

"Alright mr.Mendoza follow me right this way." The hostess grabbed menus and lead the way to a two person corner table right next to a large window with a great view of the sunset
"Wow this is absolutely beautiful Luis..." I say dumbfounded

"I thought you'd like it" he smiled sincerely

"You definitely thought right"
We both opened the menu and browsed
"Luis...this place is so expensive..." my eyes widen as I look through the options

"Don't worry about the price, get whatever you want. It's on me remember." He said calmly
"What!?" I yelped a little too loud catching the attention of a few other people seated around us "Absolutely not!" I whispered a little flushed

"Y/n..I'll be fine just get whatever you want" he chuckled unfazed
"Ok so I'll get what I want...but I'm paying for myself" I conclude
This is when Luis looked me in the eyes and put down his menu

"No you won't y/n." He smirked "and I'll make sure of it" he then picked up the menu and continued looking
"Your not serious-" I pause and look at something randomly on the menu

"28.95 for a damn side salad luis? Let's be logical" I shake my head and lean back in my chair
"I am. And I said it's on me so pick what you want or I'll pick for you." He said not looking up from the menu

"Your so stubborn" I fire at him
"Im stubborn?" He chuckled "I think you should think about what you just said."
"Im speaking the truth." I stick my ground
"Im about to tape your mouth shut"

Before I could come back with anything the waitress came over "hello I'm Sheri and I'll be your waitress tonight, can I get you guys started with a drink?" She asked nicely
"I'll have a water please" I said
"And I'll get a sweat tea"

"Alright and are you guys ready to order or do you need a few more minutes?" She waited patiently
"I'm ready.." Luis looked over at me
"Me too....I'll get the chicken Alfredo" I closed my menu and waited for Luis to order

"I'll get the same but could I add mushrooms to mine?" Luis asked
"Of course" the waitress wrote down everything and took our menus then walked away

"Mushrooms?! Are you a weirdo or what?" I cringe at the thought of eating one "way to ruin a perfectly good meal"
"They aren't even bad. Maybe your just not mature enough to enjoy good food." He sat there watching me for my reaction which he knew he was pushing my buttons but only for his own entertainment

"Once we get out of here I'm going to kick you right in the-" the waitress came back with our drinks "here you guys go. The food will be out shortly" she smiled and walked away
"You got lucky...again" I glare at him
"I know" he smirked which enraged me even more keeping nothing from stopping me from kicking his leg under the table

"What are you 5?" Luis groaned rubbing his leg
"I guess I'm not mature enough to show my table manners either " I smirk this time
"I'm going to get you back...may not be tonight but I will." He squinted his eyes

The food was amazing to say the least. I finished every bite of it...which probably wasn't the best idea
"I need to unbutton my pants.." I groan rubbing my food baby
"Y/n you aren't wearing any pants?.."
"That's the problem" I complain again as he shakes his head

"Ok here you guys go" the waitress comes back with the check holding it in the middle
I go to grab it but so does Luis "y/n I'm paying remember" he squinted his eyes suspiciously
"No I'll get this one" I fake smile back

"Do you guys want to split the bill?" The waitress asked nervously
"Yes"
"No"
We both say at the same time

"Luis I can pay for my own meal" I argue "no. I said I'm paying." He glared

"I'll leave this here and come back in a few minutes ok?" The waitress slowly backed away as me and Luis where having a glaring war
"Ok how about this...we play rock appear scissors and if I win I pay for my meal and if you win you can pay for both?" I asked

"Deal..best out of three. You start it off" Luis got his hands ready and so did I
"Rock....paper...scissors..shoo-" instead of continuing the game Luis snatched the bill from the middle and put his card in

"Hey you cheater that's not fair!!!" I yell not caring if people looked at this point

"Life ain't fair baby..deal with it" he smiled
