Chapter 16

Y/n pov-

We eat our food and sit in silence....actually I eat my food and Luis just looks at me intensely, which would be weird if it wasn't Luis doing it.

"Luis are you done staring, I've got to get back to Jamie and Emma" I sigh sipping on my drink
"You drove here without supervision...wait let me rephrase that, you drove here without a license" Luis's eyes suddenly have a glint of surprise "impressive."

"Yep all by myself..I'm gonna head out Emma's probably starving by now" I try to stand up but Luis grabs my hand
"Wait we didn't even get to talk" I take a seat again excepting the fact that I'm probably gonna be here forever

"Ok fine, let's talk then." I cross my arms waiting for Luis to start
"Do you remember what happened last night?" Luis raised an eyebrow

"Well there was dancing, a little bit of smoking before you stole my stuff.." I pause to glare at him
"But that's pretty much it..." I finish waiting to see a reaction "you mean you don't remember..." his face is priceless there isn't anything better then messing with someone, unless your being mean...that ain't chill.

"Luis I'm just messing with you. I just wanted to see your reaction" I laughed to myself leaning forward
"Oh come on. You actually made my heart stop for a second" he then crossed his arms with an unamused look
"I'm sorry ok I was just playing you big baby. I remember everything that happened last night...except for how I ended up on the roof. Was that your idea?" I tilt my head as I'm trying to remember that specific detail

"Nope you can take ALL the credit for that one" Luis smirked shaking his head

"Luis..." I needed to talk to him about what went down, maybe not the whole kissing part but definitely about what was said..I need to know if he was genuine

"Y/n" he responded taking another sip of his coffee
"Do you remember the conversation we had?"
"Of course y/n...I actually wanted to talk to you about that" he said setting his coffee down

"Me too...there is honestly only one thing I need to know" he looked at me waiting for me to finish
"Did you truly mean what you said" I couldn't look at him while I spoke, it felt like he could see just how nervous he made me.

"I know I haven't had the best past, but believe me y/n..I would never and will never hurt you like I did again. I will do anything to prove that to you" Luis was still looking at me.
When I looked into his eyes I could tell he meant it, I didn't feel any doubt about it.
"Luis I think what would be best for us is if we start over..."
I start to fiddle with the ends of my hair

"Whatever you want y/n. I'll do whatever it takes." He smiled

"If this is going to work then we also need to set some rules" I drop my hands to the table
"Rules?" He chuckled
"Yes rules..." my face goes red "this makes me feel like I'm in 2nd grade again" he's still smiling flashing his perfect white teeth...god I've missed that smile too much

"Oh suck it up." I roll my eyes smiling with him
"did you roll your eyes again?" His eyes changed...I'm not sure what it was but something was different about his eyes now
"No." I instantly say looking away from his gaze my face going a little red

"Gosh you don't know what you do to me" he lowly grunted re adjusting in his seat
"Huh?" I look back to see his eyes are still directly on me
"Never mind, just continue with this whole rule thing" he looked slightly uncomfortable in his seat
"If you want to do this another time we can.." I say with  concern "you don't look like your feeling too well" I add

"No. I'm fine. Please continue." He took a sip of his coffee looking slightly better after
"Ok whatever" I shrug it off
"Starting Monday we will 'restart' our friendship"
"Monday got it" he repeated

"Once I come up with the rules I'll text them to you." He nodded
"That is pretty much it. Do you want to add anything?" I ask

"If you get to come up with rules then so do I." He gave me a mischievous smirk
"Nothing ridiculous Luis I mean it" I gave him a serious look but he just laughed
"Ridiculous? Me? Come on y/n I would never" he said sarcasm laced in his voice

"I'm serious Luis. Nothing stupid this is important" this time he gave a genuine smile
"I pinky promise" he held out his pinky.

He remembered...

"You know...a pinky promise is a serious thing. If you break it not only am I going to break your pinky but I will chop off your di-"
"Ok please no more." His face said it all

Linking our fingers we look at each other for a long second taking in each others features...I wonder what he was thinking...
"Ok this time luis I actually have to go, Emma is probably beating Jamie up because she's so hungry" he laughed and nodded he stood up and helped me collect my trash

Once he threw the trash away he snaked his arm back around my waist which made me sigh and shake my head
"Your weird Luis." I state which just made him smirk

He opened the drivers side door for me and then handed me the two drinks and the bag of food for Emma and Jamie
"I'll see you Monday Luis. And don't forget, I'm gonna send you those rules once I come up with them" I hop in the car

"Oh I won't, trust me" he smirked closing my door. As I bucked up I watched him get into his car

He has a nice ass...
I start Jamie's car and start the drive back home.
