What we had ~Luis Mendoza~

Chapter 8

The next morning I wake up to Emma's arms and legs spread out across my bed and my alarm blaring
I pick up my phone and see that it's already 6:55 and it's time for me to start another day
I sigh and mentally prepare myself for the day and then decide it's a good time to wake Emma up too

"Emma wake up it's time for school" I slightly shake her and she groans and rubs the tiredness off her face
"I'm gonna get ready if you need any cloths just grab what you want" I grab my towel and walk into my bathroom

I step into the shower letting the warm water fully wake me up. I think I'm going to talk to Luis today....I know it might be a stupid idea but I need answers.

-at school-

Me, emma, and Jamie walk into school together. Jamie and Emma are joking around as always and I start to look around the hall trying to find Braxton but instead I meet a pair of dark eyes already staring at me...Luis just the person I need to speak to.

"Hey I'll meet you in class Emma" she looks confused but brushes it off and Jamie starts their conversation again

I take a deep breath and start to walk over..very slowly I start to get closer and my heart starts to pound
I try to look anywhere else but his eyes as they followed me as I walked  towards him

Suddenly someone cuts in front of me
"Y/n just the person I was looking for" Braxton smiled
"Oh hey" I gave a small smile
"So there's a party happening tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to go?" He raised his eyebrows

"I'll think about it and I'll let you know at lunch ok?" He nodded and we headed to class together
I look around trying to find Luis again but all I see now is Mindy rubbing her hands all over his chest...gross

Maybe this party will be good for me, I mean I definitely need a break so I think I'm gonna go
I walk into first period and take my seat next to Emma and Braxton walks to the back sitting with his group of friends
"Hey you alright?" She says with sympathy
"Yeah I'm good" I gave her a reassuring smile

"So I heard from Braxton that there's a party tonight. You in?"
"Hell yeah I'm always down for a party" she laughs "great"

-2nd period-

I'm sitting in second period when a note is passed to me
I look over to the guy who passed it to me with confusion and she nods signaling for me to open it

The note read "party at mine tonight and your invited" I look over at him and smiled. The guys name was Ash or something like that and I've heard his parties are the best I gave him a thumbs up and he smiled back

I look up to find Luis looking at me with confusion...good I don't want him knowing I'm going to this party tonight

He gets up and walks to the teachers desk and mumbles something that I can't hear and he walks out. That was a little strange but yet I don't care so I shrug it off

Class ends and I'm the first one out when my phone buzzes

Unknown-what did that note say
...
Y/n-uhmmm who is this?

Unknown-answer my question first

*I think I have a good idea of who this is and I know where this conversation is leading*

Y/n-is this Luis?

Unknown-answer my question y/n

I read that message then turned off my phone I'm not going to waist my time anymore and maybe this is a sign to just let the whole Mindy situation go, maybe it's just not even worth trying to figure out

-lunch-

"Braxton I think I'm going to go to the party tonight" I say walking up to him
"Yes! You won't regret it" he hugs me and spins me around making me laugh
"Emma and Jamie are going too" I add and he smiles again "the more the merrier"
