This story takes place after the end of Ruin & Rising/season 2.
Alina struggles to adapt to life with Mal as an oakazat'sya in Keramzin. Questions around the loss of Alina's powers haunt her and she is desperate to find a meaning to it all. Her subconscious steadily becomes bitter towards all who cannot relate to her and her life that has seemingly used up it's purpose.
