Ethan's POV

I wake up in Lucy's bed, but without Lucy. I walk down stairs to find her making toast, for herself.

"Hey baby, why didn't you wake me? Its almost 6:50" I asked her.

She shrugged, and went on buttering her toast.

I mentally decided I would skip school today, and visit Marisa. I grabbed my keys without one more word to Lucy and slammed the door behind me cutting off her sentence.

I drove around the bends, and through the long woodcutting roads, till I reached her house, a little ways from town.

Her parents claimed they liked the quiet, and it gave them more land to wonder around. I knocked on her door and waited for her to answer cause she was already out of high school and now took an online college,

"but just for this year," she would say, because she wanted to believe that she would one day have the college campus life, partying all night, and meeting boys, till the days end. But we all knew it wouldn't happen because of her solid wood parents. They refused to let her leave to go to her dream college, UMass, in fear she wouldn't get good enough education.

Marisa was a straight A student. And she wanted to stay that way. Because what her parents didn't know wouldn't kill them, right?

Marisa, slides the door as far as the chain lock on the door would let her.

"Ethan?" She said obviously confused. "Yeah its me, may I come in?" I ask gesturing to her very hostile position with one eye peering through the crack in the door and her fingers just creeping from the inside.

"Uh, yeah I guess," she slowly closes the door as I hear the chain lock slide off its track and hiy the wall beside the door. She then swings open the door and allows me walk in. I stop about 3-5 inches away from her and say, "Marisa we need to talk," I speak clearly and firmly letting her know I came here for a reason. "Okay?" She says and walks behind me and close the door quietly. I slip my shoes off and kick them in into the pile of shoes behind her hard wood door and hang my coat on the steel pole rack. The kind you would see in a very old detectives office.

She leads me up the stairs and into what must be her bedroom. I take in the view, pictures hung all around the room neatly and framed. One whole wall of just posters clearly ripped from magazines. I sit on her bead and gesture to the open spot next to me. "You may want to sit down," I speak my words, getting softer the longer the sentence trails on. She walks over to me after closing her door, but not all the way. Leaving it ajar. She plops herself down next to me and nods for me to start talking except I don't know where to start. I look into her eyes , she's thinking. I can tell, except I'm not too sure what about. It seems she stuck like she can't decide about something. And then before I know it. She has connected your lips and is breathing slightly as she stays there for about 4-5 seconds. So I see she has made her decision. "I'm sorry," she days looking at the floor, "I had to see if I was right. I know you love Lucy and stuff but I mean I see the way you look at me and well, I love you," she says rushing her words almost fast enough for me not to hear her. Except I hear every word because that's exactly why I came here. I needed to tell her how I felt. I nod, "You beat me to what I was gonna do," I say laughing a bit into my words. She looks up at me shocked and disbeleif in her eyes. "What?" She says. "I'm in love with you, that's why I came here" I say not leaving her gaze. "Oh," she says confsued," but what about --" I cut her off with another sweet kiss. It was quick and now that we both knew what was going on, it was more kiss like. We worked our lips until I broke away breathing a little heavy, "I'm gonna break-up with Lucy," I say quickly," for you," and with that I get up as fast as possible and rush out her door closing it loudly behind me.
