scenario 1:
in a battle in between (oc), the team, and (villain of choice), the villain ends up overpowering everyone. afterwards, they're able to take over ninjago and everything goes to hell from there.

scenario 2:
same scenario, but (villain) only gets a victory and doesn't take over the city. however, they end up kidnapping or end up doing something with (oc). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
