scenario #1:

(oc) gets blamed for something that they didn't do, and the team starts to become incredibly spiteful to them.

scenario #1.5:

after a week of being harassed [not really, but yk] by the team, (oc) has had enough and goes off somewhere / disappears.

the team finally learn that it *wasn't* (oc) that did whatever happen, but someone else— causing them to regret their behavior. they soon find out that (oc) is gone, and starts to get worried.

(crush) finally volunteers to go find them after a few days.
