scenario #1:

a storm hits ninjago and leaves everyone without power and internet for a few days. which is fine for everyone, except (oc).

they end up taking it harder than most, which causes them to be a bit depressed. maybe they can't talk to friends online, or maybe they have an online presence...

either way, it's up to (crush) and the others to figure something out.

scenario #2:

a storm hits ninjago, causing (oc) and the others to stay inside until it clears. since they don't have anything better to do, shenanigans probably happen.
