I wake up still on the couch. My whole body is sore from last night. I groan and slowly sit up. It's so bright in the living room, I have to squint for a while. When my vision adjusts, I look at the clock. It's only 9:12. Maybe I should just go back to bed.
I lay back down and turn on the tv. Like every morning, there's nothing on. I switch over to Netflix and turn on Doctor Who. After a couple episodes, I get up and look in the fridge. Nothing to eat. I decide to just drink a cup of water when my phone goes off. "Where are you, nerd?" I read. I don't want to deal with this today. I reply "Great grammar, but I prefer the term smarter than you."
I put my phone down on the table and flop back down onto the couch. I fall asleep to "Allonsy" and the sound of the TARDIS.
When I wake back up only about an hour and a half has past. My body is still stiff and sore, so I painfully sit up and take some ibuprofen.
I again flop back down on the couch. I make myself comfortable and switch over to sherlock. Soon enough, I fall, once again, back to sleep.
I manage to do this all day. Wake up, watch British television shows for a while, get up and do something, and go back to sleep.
I wake up from another nap when my phone goes off again. I don't even bother to read it. I just block the number.
My mom gets home from work with my brothers, and the boys' high-pitched screaming wakes my up. I moan and pull my blanket over my head. My youngest brother rips the covers off me and yells "YOURE NOT SICK" I fake cough in his face and he starts "crying". I get up and lug my blanket to my mom's room, where I cuddle with my mom until we both fall back asleep.
