A Second Chance

I got up from bed, I sneezed.

Oh, no... did I get sick over night?

But, I can't stay home.

I slowly got out of bed. My throat was hurting.

Just some sore throat. It'll go away.

I got dressed for school and got out of my room, my sister bumped into me. "Ugh, watch it!" Jae Hyun yelled at me annoyed, she noticed my appearances. "Gross. You look like garbage" she walked around me and left.

I snuffled and rolled my eyes, I walked to the kitchen. "Morning" I tapped on her shoulder "what is it?" She was going through bills "do you have any cough drops? My throat—" I was interrupted "go look in the cabinet. I'm not some maid" I walked away from her.

Always hated how she treated me.

I sneezed, I looked and couldn't find them "hey-" she cut me off again "aren't you suppose to be going to school now?" My eyes saddened, I grabbed my book bag and left the house. I rubbed my nose with my sleeve.

I wonder where Ha Joon is?

I looked around for him, but didn't see him anywhere.

Probably at school. I did wake up a little late than usual.

I arrived at school, I felt stares. I kept my head down, another reason why I loved walking with Ha Joon. If they looked at Ha Joon, they wouldn't look at me.

I was walking up stairs.

SEUNG HO'S POV

I came walking, I spotted a familiar girl.

Ji Hyun?

"Gross, she is so disgusting" I overheard a girl "you know, I knew her back in junior school. We were friends, but then one day. She comes up to me during lunch and throws her food tray at me and starts yelling."

"Oh gosh, I feel bad for you." "I heard she slept with TEN FREAKING GUYS at the same time" a boy said "you're joking!" Another boy laughed "that's crazy. Do you think she's good in bed?"

Ji Hyun never told me she was popular? Well, we never really even talked.

"She's so disgusting."

"She's so violent."

"What a slut."

"Dirty whore."

"I hope she kills herself."

I saw Ji Hyun cover her ears.

JI HYUN'S POV

I'm just going to ignore them..

I stopped at my tracks for a little while, until I felt a pinch. I turned around.

"You're in my way," Seung Ho looked down at me "o-oh" I moved to the side, he walked pass me until "Seung Ho!" Seung Ho turned around and looked at me. "What is it?" He looked at me with his cold piercing eyes. "Can I..."

Put your pride to the side, Ji Hyun.

"Can I walk with you?"

"Walk with me?" Seung Ho repeated me, I nodded. "Hm, what for?" "I-I" I stammered "whatever," Seung Ho walked away and I caught up with him.

"He really is cute!" "He looks so much better in person!" "Man, I wish I was him. Pulling the ladies."

"Is this the attention you want?" He asked me "huh?" "I've heard what people say about you" he pointed out, I stayed quiet. "I—" he cut me off "I don't believe them" I stopped walking.
