A Second Chance

chapter fifty six

I started waking up. I realized I was in an infinite space once I sat up.

"Where am I?" I rubbed my head and got up "back in the infinite void" the spirit appeared in front of me "you... what do you want now?"

"You prefer to get back with the man who hurt you? We've given you a second chance! And you're acting ungrateful!"

"How could I be!? What did you guys do for me so I can be grateful! I'm back in high school, the worst years of my life, back with my neglectful parents!" I listed and pointed at it.

"You went back with the boy... why?" "We've given you a second chance to get away from him, not get closer to him" I crossed my arms. "It feels right with him. With Ha Joon, I don't feel complete."

It had no eyes. It had no mouth, it had nothing. It was like a floating blob, but I just felt its stare on me and it felt sad.

"I'm going to vanish, aren't I?" "There's still time to change the gods dec—" I cut it off "I'm fine with their choice" I said calmly. "What?" It said stunned.

"Seung Ho deserves it. Seung Ho, since birth couldn't do anything without being judged or told no. I was rebellious, I only regretted my love life either way. His is so much more than mine."

"So I guess in a way, I am grateful. Because I was given a second chance with Seung Ho, and that deep down I was always in love with him since I met him."

"Please don't call Seung Ho out for this. I don't want our last days together sad, I don't want hi mourning something he won't even remember" I asked for, it was quiet for awhile.

"Alright."

I woke up from my sleep. I recognized the pearly white ceiling, I was in Seung Ho's room.

I remembered after our date we came back to his place, he went into the shower and I fell asleep.

I sat up, I heard the door open. Seung Ho stepped out from his bathroom that was connected to his room.

Seung Ho was wearing a towel around his waist.

"You're finally awake" I nodded "what's wrong? You seem like you're disturbed" Seung Ho sat next to me, I smiled and hugged him.

"I missed you" Seung Ho pulled me closer for a better hug "I'm right here." My eyes started become teary.

"I'm a get dressed. We can go down stairs and have dinner with Seo Joon and Ha Rin" Seung Ho got up and went to go changed. I sighed and got up too.

Seung Ho and I went down stairs to Seo Joon and Ha Rin, they were already waiting for us at the dining table. We took a seat.

"You don't want something comfortable Ji Hyun?" She mentioned my school uniform "it's alright. I'm a go back home" I replied "alright then."

We started eating.

Later that night Seung Ho took me back home on his motorcycle.

"You'll be fine here?" "Mhm. They might not like me but you know, they need someone around the place to help them out with things" I explained and handed him back the helmet.

"I'll walk you to your door" I smiled and nodded , and he did. Seung Ho gave me a kiss.

"Text me when you get to your room" I scoffed "how about you text me when you get home?" I teased "why should I text first?" I nudged him.

Seung Ho pulled me and gave me a fat kiss on my cheek. I laughed at his gesture, "you're so cute" "Ji Hyun, come inside and get to cleaning!" Eomma yelled outside and then slammed the door.
