Aris loses their hearing (future au?)

(This one is really short)

After the fight with Reed and Jackson, Aris had lost the majority of their hearing. Although they had now received hearing aids, they still weren't hearing as well as they were used to. Aris was pissed to say the least, not only did they already have an arm that stopped functioning for a few hours at a time now they had ears that couldn't hear. Now usually that wouldn't bother them, as they were used to being slightly disabled, but not being able to hear clearly meant that it was harder to hear their two lovers' voices. That's what pissed Aris off.

Aris was currently sulking in Cadence's room, hugging one of her pillows, and quite frankly acting like a child, which wasn't anything too new. All Goose and Cadence could do was stare, it was cute seeing them pout like this, but it was also kind of unbelievable. I mean, they were mad because they couldn't hear Goose and Cadence clearly anymore!? Goose sighed, finally approaching Aris. "Listen Rosebud, you have to look at the bright side, at least you didn't completely lose your hearing, you can still hear us." All she got in response was a hmph. Cadence came to sit with Goose and Aris, putting their hand on Aris' side. Aris still didn't turn or say anything, proceeding to pout. Goose and Cadence shared a concerned look.

Before Aris knew it, the pillow they were hugging was gone and both Goose and Cadence were hugging them. Goose hugging from the front and Cadence from the back. Aris' face molded into a face of shock. Now shocking the other two, Aris started to sob into Goose's shoulder. Cadence whispered into Aris' back, giving a soft kiss to it, "shhhh, we're right here for you." Goose gave the top of Aris' head a kiss as well, "Let it all out." Aris choked out between sobs, "I ju-just... why did this have to happen to us!? What did the crew ever do to Reed and Jackson!?" Squeezing them tighter Cadence started to speak, "I don't know..."

It didn't take much longer, but Aris had stopped crying and fell asleep. Regardless, Goose and Cadence didn't leave their positions next to Aris. Eventually, they fell asleep as well, and they spent the rest of the night cuddling.
