(This is the longest fic I've written, I might make a part 2 to it :>)

It was a sunny day in the kingdom of hexsidia, a nice breeze blowing, and just the right amount of clouds, at least to princess Goose. It was a rare day, the queen had let Goose walk threw the town market, on the condition that the most skilled knight of the kingdom were to accompany her. This wasn't really a problem as the knight was already the princess' bodyguard. So, Goose sauntered down to the market with her guard and best friend, or more if it were allowed, Cadence. "Calm down Cadence! You're so tense!!" Goose says running a slight bit ahead turning around to face the knight. "I'm just doing my job princess, and please don't stray too far. There's a thief, and a very good one at that roaming around." Goose paused and closed the distance between them a little, "Wow this must be one good thief if you haven't caught them yet." Cadence sighed, messaging the bridge of her nose, "Yes, this thief has been a thorn in my side. They're very tricky, and somehow always manages to blend away into the crowd." Cadence looked over to see that Goose hadn't heard a word and was dazzling at trinkets at a stand. Cadence watched as Goose picked up her desired trinket and payed the stand owner, also paying attention to her surroundings to see if the thief would strike. Being caught off guard, surprisingly, Cadence was dragged off to the next stand by Goose. "The things here are so unique!! We need to buy something from everyone!" Goose exclaimed, a sparkle Cadence grew to love shining bright in her eyes. "Alright princess."

It had been about an hour since Goose had been dragging Cadence around the market, and it had seemed much bigger than Cadence remembered from her last trip to the market. Good thing for being a knight and training relentlessly day and night, because without it Cadence highly doubted she'd be able to keep up with Goose. Once again Goose had stopped to look at things at a stand, while Cadence had been watching from a distance. Cadence was looking elsewhere for just a second, when out of the corner of her eye she saw a masked person pickpocket one of the princess' many coin pouches. "Hey!? Give that back!" The person was caught off guard, not seeing Cadence earlier, and started to ditch it down the road. "Shit! Princess stay here!" Cadence started to run after the thief, sure that this was the one she and her knights have been chasing for months. The thief took many sharp turns, disappointed every time they looked back to see they still hadn't lost the knight. God damn it, they never keep up this long. Stupid guard. They hit a dead end, but that didn't stop them, they started to climb the boxes. Cadence had turned the corner and was about to grab the leg of the thief when they flipped over the wall and continued running. "Damn it!! Again!" Cadence was beyond pissed off, but she thought it best to get back to the princess as soon as possible, so she stormed out of the alleyway back the way she came. "Oh your back quick. Did you catch the thief?" Goose asked, having just bought another trinket. "No, I didn't." Cadence said, pouting. Goose giggled, patting Cadence on the shoulder. "Aww that's alright, you'll get them next time." Cadence's pout turned into a small smile, "Thank you for the comfort princess."

The thief from before was panting in a nearby alley, as they didn't run far from the wall they flipped over. "Damn, that knight was so fricking fast." They struggled pulling off their mask, wiping off some sweat. "She was also really hot..." They covered their mouth, a slight red tint brushing their cheeks. They grabbed into their pocket, sighing in relief as they still had the stolen pouch of coins. "This should last a few weeks, at least I won't have to steal food for a while." They stood up, "Now that I think about it, the princess is much more beautiful up close." They shook their head and headed out of the alley, hooded with a cloak they had stuffed in their bag just in case. A thief like me couldn't ever be with a knight or a princess anyway, get yourself together. The thief found themself unconsciously following the princess and her knight around the marketplace from a safe distance, admiring the beauty of both of them. Is that what happens when you have access to so many soaps? They looked down at themself, adorning ripped baggy brown pants, brown combat boots, and a dirty white short sleeve shirt, with their cloak and mask. Eugh. They looked back up to realize that the knight and the princess were leaving the market, so they sneakily followed behind keeping their distance. They stopped following once they were at the edge of the town, and turned around to head back into it once the two were out of sight. This gave me a good reason to try and rob the castle.
