Ro's crush

Scenario where Aris realizes who Ro likes and makes fun of them for it.

It was Friday, the day of the homecoming grudgby game, and the hexsider crew were eating lunch at their usual table. "Mmmm.... I'm so nervous for this game." Caterpillar said, poking at their food with a fork. "Oh please... you're like the best player on our entire grudgby team, I'm surprised you aren't captain." Oliver said, with an 'are you serious face'. Ro swallowed the bite of food he was eating, "Ollie's right, you're the most skilled player I know... It's very admirable." Ro finished their cheeks and the tip of their ears tinted red. The group all nodded in agreement, but only Aris had realized the change in Ro's face. They raised an eyebrow, Aris wasn't one to be nosy, but this peaked their interest. "Thanks guys for all the encouragement, you're the best," Caterpillar said, taking a bite of his food, now a little red from embarrassment. "It's all part of being best buds, muscles." Zee said, it's face giving 😌. "Muscles?" Caterpillar questions with a chuckle. "Yeah cause you're a jock, it's perfect," Zee retorts. "Mhm, whatever," Caterpillar rolled their eyes, and the rest of the group laughed.

The rest of lunch was calm, conversation was all over the place, as usual. When the bell rang the group split up, going to their respective classes. Aris, Oliver, and Axe heading to their bard class. "Hey guys..." Aris said resparking conversation. "What's up? Did you forget to do the homework again?" Oliver asked, their tone part genuine part sarcastic. Axe laughed, it was common knowledge that Aris never remembered to do homework. "No! I actually got it done this time," They pouted, "I was going to ask if any of you guys realized that Ro was blushing earlier?" Oliver and Axe looked at Aris with questioning looks, Oliver spoke, "I don't think so." Axe nodded in agreement. "Hmmmmm, maybe it was the lighting," Aris says, concluding the convo as they walked into class.

It was 7pm, and the grudgby game was just about to start. The crew was just having small talk, waiting for the game to start and see Caterpillar on the field, he walked off a while ago to get ready. They heard cheers, and ceased their convo looking towards the field. Out came running the grudgby teams, Boscha in front as she's the captain, followed by Caterpillar and the rest of the team. The group cheered, yelling so loud they all knew the day their voices would be gone, "GO CATERPILLAR WOOOOO!!" Although they were all excited to see Caterpillar kick the opposing team's ass, when Ro suggested getting closer, which meant standing, not many people wanted to join. "I'll come along," Aris said, their motives unknown as to whether it was to cheer on Caterpillar or to get to the bottom of Ro's blush earlier that day, probably both. The two walked down to the bottom of the bleachers, resting their arms on the edge. "Caterpillar!!! Kick their ass!!" Ro shouted, which was followed by a loud cheer from Aris. Apparently it had gotten Caterpillar's attention, and he turned just to be met with a ball to the face. "Oooooo-" Aris and Ro said in sync, both their faces scrunched up in empathy. Caterpillar got up, smile still as bright as before, waved, and focused back on the game.

Aris and Ro had stood there watching, Aris trying to see if Ro would blush again, if he had, which he definitely did, Aris missed it. It wasn't until the last few seconds of the game, when Caterpillar threw the winning shot for Hexside, and the crowd went up in cheers, that Aris had looked over and caught Ro's face red as a tomato, and their eyes shining in admiration and.... Love. Aris' eyes widened, and they started cackling. Ro looked over at them, "What happened?" Trying to catch their breath, Aris spoke, "Bro.... You... HAH, YOU FELL FOR A GRUDGBY PLAYER!!! HAHAHA!" Ro's face turned even more red, hell his entire body must've turned red from embarrassment, "What!?" "THAT'S LIKE EVERY HIGHSCHOOL MOVIE EVER!! HAH!!" Aris bent over their laughs never ceasing. Ro just sat there speechless in embarrassment, they didn't think anyone would find out, especially Aris. Aris stands up, holding their stomach and wiping a tear from their eye, "Oh... my... god. Now I get to make fun of you for being head over heels for someone too." With a smug look, they patted Ro's back, "Don't worry, I won't tell him, but grom is coming up and you should totally ask him." Ro buried his face in his hands, groaning.

They went back to the group so they could all greet Caterpillar. Their eyebrows raised in question when they saw a chuckling Aris, and a red Ro. "What happened?" Oliver asked. "Nothing special Olls, don't worry about it," Aris said. "Ok...?" Oliver said. "Hey guys!!! Did you see that awesome win?" Caterpillar said, walking up to the group. "Oh we sure did, and it was awesome. Wasn't it Ro?" Aris said their face was smug. Ro gave Aris a not so light punch on the shoulder, "It was great, you looked so cool." Caterpillar rubbed the back of its neck, slightly red, "Thanks Ro...." Aris' face was even more smug when they realized Caterpillar felt the same. I so gotta tell Zee about this, they'll definitely know what to do at grom. "Well, are we all having a sleepover?" Oliver asks. "Hell yeah!" Zee shouts. The group all started walking to Oliver's house.
