TW!! GRUESOME CHARACTER D**TH

It was just any other normal Thursday for Aris Mcgrazier. They were helping out at their parents' healing potion shop in the night market. It was always a creepy job, as it was the night market, and Aris already had dealt with a few creeps trying to scam their parents. "Hope the potion helps! I'd say come again, but that'd be a bad thing huh? Goodbye!" Aris said as the most recent customer had just walked off from a purchase. Aris turned to check the stock of the potion for common injuries or disease, like mold or a wound from a knife. "How's it looking kiddo!" Their dad screamed from the back supply closet. "Can you grab a few wound potions! A surprising amount of people have come in with some type of cut or stab...." Aris' face scrunched up in worry and in disgust as they had seen some pretty gross wounds tonight. "Ok!" Her dad replied, followed by a few clanks of bottles and such. "Thanks dad!" Aris turned back around and rested their arms on the counter in front of them, waiting for the next customer. Their mother came up beside them, setting down a few things and then sorting them into the drawers around them. "If you want sweetheart, I can take over selling for a little while, you've been here since you came to help." With a quick hug, and a kiss to the forehead, Aris walked to the back, "Thanks mom!" Mrs. Mcgrazier nodded and faced towards the night market.

It had been about 2 hours when Aris was finally getting tired from work. They'd been at the shop for 7 hours at this point, and it was midnight. "You should head home kiddo, you've helped plenty tonight." Mr. Mcgrazier had said, taking notice of Aris' tired expression and decrease in speed. "Nah... I can stick around a little longer." Aris finished off with a yawn. Eavesdropping in on their conversation, their mother interrupted, "Go home sweetie, you're tired, and you should get back to the house, you have school in the morning." Aris groaned, she was right, and they didn't want to be late, again. "Alright, Alright. Let me just finish what I'm doing." Aris carried the box they were holding into the back of the shop. When they came back out, their mother handed them something. "What's this?" Aris turned the scroll around, looking for a signature or something of the sort. "I don't know, someone came by, said it was for you, from a friend?" Aris eyebrow raised, "A friend? Eh, I'll read it later." They stuffed it into their bag, and with a kiss to each of their parents, headed to their house.

It didn't take them long once they were home to throw their bag to their bedroom floor, and pass out on their bed the minute they hit the pillow. They drifted off, forgetting all about the mysterious note from a friend. They dreamt of seeing their friends, and especially their two girlfriends, Goose and Cadence. The only reason they didn't want to be late to school was so they'd have extra time to talk with the aforementioned Goose and Cadence. They were the biggest highlight of everyday after all.

It was the next morning, and Aris had slept in... again. Their plans of hanging out with their friends before school was thwarted. They jumped out of bed, getting dressed. They rushed into the bathroom, their speed shortly halted, as they didn't want to rush brushing their teeth, then quickly picked back up again as they threw their hair back into their classic small ponytail. They rushed downstairs, shoving things into their bag so they would have extra time to eat breakfast. Rushing to the dining room table, bag already on their back, Aris ate their sandwich in haste. "Delicious as always mom! See you after school!" They gave a quick hug to Mrs. Mcgrazier, and rushed to school.

Aris found the strong breeze to school a very nice wake up. Hopping off of fritter at the front stoop, letting him crawl onto their shoulder they rushed into the building. Slowing down just a tad before entering the classroom, to avoid suspicion. They quietly opened the door, and started to sneak to their spot next to Ollie. "You're late Mcgrazier!... Again." The teacher said, stopping the lesson briefly. Sitting down, Aris sank into their seat, "Sorry sir, it won't happen again." The teacher sighed, "I doubt that." He turned back to the board and continued on with the lesson. Ollie turned to Aris, "Dude, you gotta stop taking late shifts at the shop." Aris sighed, "But it's the only time mom and dad really need help at the shop, the night market is always when they're the busiest." Aris frowned, they knew it was damaging their school career, but they couldn't just stop helping out at the shop. "Well maybe you should look for someone to hire, or something. The crew and I never really see you outside of school, it's always late to school, then rushing home to get homework done and then help out with the shop." Ollie looked down, scribbling some things in his notebook. "I know, I know, sorry. I'll figure something out." Aris grabbed their notebook, and opened it to a fresh page, joining Ollie in scribbling down notes.
